Summary: "...deceiving, and being deceived."
Review: 'Confronting The Queen of Heaven' ranks second only to the movie, 'Attack of the Killer Tomatoes'

Summary: Wonderful
Review: One of the best books i've read from pastor wagner. The church needs to open their eyes to the spiritual realm.

Summary: Spiritual bigotry.
Review: Peter takes the religion of the Queen of Heaven that was once believed in Mesopotamia and ancient Israel, and applies it to numerous religions of the area, believing that the spirit of the Queen of Heaven is the same as Artemis that Paul the Apostle confronted. But Paul was unsuccessful, and the Queen still remains. Then he applies this belief to his interpretations of the modern manifestations of Mother Teresa and Princess Diana. When he and the Generals of Intercession prayed against the Queen, their success was indicated when both Teresa and Di died in the same week.

I've often thought Peter is much like Origen, often called the church's greatest theologian. In the 3rd century he authored over 2,000 works. Peter has written over 50 books- no mean feat in these days. Origen came up with many of the church's foundational truths and helped to explore them. Peter has been at the forefront of spiritual mapping and signs and wonders, and has contributed immeasurably to Christendom. Origen was also declared a heretic after his death. Read this book to understand how Peter is similar in this respect.

Summary: Bizarre paranoia
Review: Peter Wagner appears to be afflicted with a rather bizarre form of paranoia. He sees the world controlled by a demonic force he calls "the Queen of Heaven." He sees this demon in everything from ancient Moon goddess religions to Islam (e.g., the crescent moon), to environmentalism (Gaia), feminism, witchcraft, and even in mainstreem Christianity (e.g., Catholic respect of Mary as the Mother of Jesus). That's the purpose of the book, to help you, too, see that all these disparate religions are really united, and that the Virgin Mary is the demon behind it all.

Sadly, many people take him seriously.

Summary: Excellent Introduction to Diana of the Ephesians
Review: The book is very good as an introduction with brief overviews of many areas. I wish Dr. Wagner added some extra references in the back. I'm going to purchase the 2nd part hoping to find more information on this topic. God's people need help, combined prayer and fasting to break this bondage and blindness that is deceiving them. God Bless you Dr. Wagner. Thank you for your hard work in helping to enlighten us all.

Summary: Spiritual bigotry.
Review: This is a bizarre book, filled with religious bigotry and intolerance. Like many fanatical religious types, he is unable to see the beauty and dignity in other spiritual traditions, other than his own. Believe it or not, not everyone who doesn't agree with this man, or belong to his extreme form of religion, is lost in "spiritual darkness." Many people from all different faiths throughout the world, find a great deal of enlightenment from their spiritual traditions, including many who honor the Divine Feminine. The kind of rhetoric Wagner spouts forth belongs in the Dark Ages - and they didn't call them the Dark Ages for nothing. Filled with ingnorance for other people's spiritual traditions, I came away feeling soiled by the negative opnions in this book, and thinking that this author could use some diversity in his life. I know many people who honor "The Queen of Heaven" as he likes to call Her, and they show much more love and understanding for other traditions than this man does.

Also, I do detect some woman-hating rhetoric here. It's slightly strange that he thinks this Huge Evil Force in the world is only in female deities. Apparently, he thinks his god is the One True God. No surprise there - doesn't every religious fanatic? People who spout this "One True Religion" extremism are often the people who cause much of the hatred and violence in the world, after all. I think the world could use a return to the worship of the Divine Feminine, actually. It might help in some small measure many of our problems, including the low status of women in many parts of the world, and the bigotry and barely-concealed hatred that "philopsophers" like Wagner espouse. Perhaps it would also do some small thing to elevate true love - which has everything to do with tolerance, compassion, kindness, freedom, equality, and faith in others. If you want to read about "The Queen of Heaven" I recommend trying something positive by authors who actually have that spiritual tradition as part of their lives.
