Rating: Summary: Really want to be Like Elijah? Review: The title says it. A man like us. He had his failings. But he went to God. If you have failed at one time, have nearly given up or just plan quit, get this, read it, see what God is saying to you. Then get up and do it. This book will let you see that Elijah was great before God. But it will show you that you can be if you desire it.

Rating: Summary: Everyone can be an Elijah... Review: We live in a world where everyday Satan is bound and determined to undermine who we are in Christ. Before reading this book, I held the Biblical heroes such as Elijah, Moses, Paul, Deborah, etc. on a pedestal but now I see them as only men and women who allowed themselves to be used by God. When Elijah had such an awesome victory on Mount Carmel, he was just a man who let it go to his head. Jezebel did not repent and still wanted Elijah dead. The depression that overtook Elijah spoke to me greatly. How can someone like Elijah be depressed? Because he and all those in the Bible are human just like you and me but they were willing when God called to be instruments surrendered to His work and will. So, keep the faith while you are still on this earth until He comes. To quote the author, "There is no situation too difficult. There is no fear that cannot be dispelled. There is no opponent that cannot be quelled. God is there with you in that place; you are on holy ground." I am comforted to be reminded once again that God is a Personal God desiring intimacy with me and you. You will definitely be blessed by this book!
