Review: I found this book provided an excellent introduction (or reintroduction) to Meister Eckhart's works. When reading the originals or commentaries, it's pretty easy to lose sight of the simple insights in the midst of the dense concepts. Richard Chilson provides a workable framework and gives some pretty good insights of his own (for instance, I found his description of "letting go" to be superb). I recommend it wholeheartedly for one who wants to approach Eckhart's philosophy from the simplicity and beauty of the "beginner's mind."

Review: I have found this book to be very helpful in my spiritual life. It does an excellent job of breaking up the fairly dense thought of Eckhart into thirty bite-sized peices. At the end of the thirty day regimen of daily devotions, I found myself with a better sense of my connection to God, in addition to a greater familiarity with this great thinker.
