Review: The beauty and title of this book captured my attention while I was researching material for a women's conference. What could be more appropriate than "A Jewel in His Crown" for helping women see how precious they are? Ranging from the practical to the spiritual to the profound, Mrs. Shirer's work was welcomed by and inspirational for the ladies attending the conference. Having written a poem previously (Take Yourself to the Appraisers) for women, in general, and friends, in particular, whose "jewelness" is underappreciated, I found this book validating and encouraging. In a broader sense, Shirer's recurring theme of "esteeming yourself highly enough to benefit others" can greatly contribute to transformations in the lives of all women. Thank you, Mrs. Shirer, for presenting such a precious gem.

Summary: A New Jewel
Review: This book changed my life. I cannot express how much Priscilla's words spoke to me. The Lord really used her in this book. She showed herself as vulnerable and in return she was seen as real person to the reader in the book, not just some boring words on a page. I will forever look at myself differently because of this book. I am 22 years old and I have read a great number of Christian women's books, but this one in the diamond in the rough. So many of those books speak only to certain groups of women but, this book will speak to any age of women, single or married. I was very greatful of that. Thank you, Priscilla for speaking your heart.

Review: This is a MUST for every young lady from young to very old!! I am going to use this for a teen girls bible study and a women's bible study. Thank You Priscilla, for drilling in on every page how awesome and wonderfully we, as women are made! I can't wait every day to get home and get my "jewel fix" and read more of how much God loves me and how special I am.
