Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: What a great perspective! Review: As a 20-something feeling like I've missed the boat, I'm used to getting advice from every direction on 'finding someone'. This book gives me such a better perspective on the whole process and why I'm actually doing well to be single! I feel like I have a whole new approach to every introduction, every blind date, and every new acquaintance. If you're a teenager just starting to date, you need this book. If you're a 20-30-something, single, and looking, you need this book. If you're also Christian, you DEFINITELY need this book.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: It's Basic, But It's Important. Review: FINDING YOUR MILLION DOLLAR MATE is a simple book to read with a very simple concept. However, it's a concept that most people fail to recognize in life. The premise behind the book is that most people date and eventually marry a person of the opposite sex based upon the physical and/or one's personality. The book points out that the most important thing in any relationship is the spiritual and that if two people do not share the same spiritual values, their relationship will probably not work out. People and their personalities change over time and if that is all that a relationship is built upon, it's almost sure to fail. However, many people usually don't think about that when looking for a mate. Most are just lonely and want someone to spent time with. There's nothing wrong with that. But, instead of just picking anyone to date and spend time with, a person should look for someone they would want to spend the rest of their lives with, not just a few fleeting vain moments. This book is not real deep and doesn't contain any critical thought and that's not the point. It does have an important message that many people in this country have probably never seriously thought about before. This is probably a good book for relatively new Christians or non-Christians who are feeling discontent in their relationships and they don't know why.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Highly recommended for anyone in the dating scene Review: Many people seem to take some wrong turns when looking for a lifelong, committed mate. As a result the divorce rate is well over fifty percent within the first ten years of a marriage. Although there are many reasons for this situation, one of them is basing a relationship on transient attractions. In his book "Finding Your Million Dollar Mate" author Randy Pope proposes a Biblically based system for dating. One of the high points of the book is his clear explanation and sound reasoning for why you should wait for the right person before engaging in sexual activity. In a world that supports sexual activity at earlier and earlier ages teenagers often don't want to accept "because it's wrong" as a reason for waiting. Randy Pope provides a positive answer for why you should wait. This book should be considered required reading for teenagers. "Finding Your Million Dollar Mate" is a highly recommended read.
