Summary: A Bibilical-Theological understanding of Zechariah
Review: Glory in our Midst By Meredith Kline, published by Two Age Press take what could be a confusing prophesies by an ancient preacher and splashes the vivid color of the Glory of God revealed through Jesus Christ.
Zechariah in his night vision sees the glory of God that will be revealed in the future coming of the Jewish Messiah. Kline believes that this vision points to Jesus Christ and his ministry as redeemer and consummator of all the covenant promises of God.
Kline in a very thorough exegetical manner show that all scripture points ultimately to Jesus Christ as the one who will dwell among his people and redeem them as well. The symbols of covenant, temple, flying scrolls are all dealt with in this commentary on Zechariah.
If you are wondering how the Old Testament is relevant to today, or how it relates to Christ then this book is a must read.
