Summary: Save Your Money
Review: I loved the book, Prayer of Jabez. I bought the devotional. I thought the Journal would be the same high quality.

All it is is a lot of blank pages with an occasional classic Christian quote.

W.W.J.D. (What Would Jabez Do?) Buy a blank notebook for a couple of dollars and use the rest to buy a something worth the money.

Summary: The Prayer of Jabez
Review: I resisted buying this book because I felt it was comercializing something sacred. I did buy it; I started using the prayer; I started sharing the prayer in my travels through Latin America and now we have a wonderful network of people transforming their lives reading the Prayer of Jabez. I would like to see the Spanish version in bookstores all over. I am very very grateful.

Summary: Potential Gift Item for Those Who Use the Devotional
Review: I would normally not review an item like this, but I realized that most people would not see one before ordering it.

This journal is mostly blank pages. It has the Prayer of Jabez printed in it twice. There are 15 other Biblical quotes. There are 10 quotes from the book, The Prayer of Jabez. In addition, there are 36 spiritual quotes from various people.

A typical Biblical quote was:

"For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses . . . ." Hebrews 4:15

Dr. Wilkinson suggests as follows: "Use the pages of this spiritual journal to write down your urgent prayers and to record His amazing answers." After you do this for a while, "you'll see even more clearly the extraordinary dimensions of what God wants for you." In addition, he says that "I promise you that the more you capture the miracles, the more you'll reach for them with all your heart!"

In particular, this was designed to be used along with The Prayer of Jabez Devotional. If you would like to have a small journal that fits on the bookshelf and looks like the Devotional, by all means get this one. If you have a friend who wants to explore the Prayer of Jabez further after reading the book, giving both the Devotional and this Journal would be a nice combination gift.

On the other hand, if you plan to pray to do a lot of God's work, you probably need a bigger journal than this one. You can certainly find beautiful ones that will cost you less money. And a plain notebook will work just as well for many people.

I was disappointed that the journal was not larger, and was not tied in with more quotations, directions, and suggestions.

Fortunately, we can contact God without books or journals, so use your intuition to know what is right for you.

After you consider this journal, please take a moment to pray for Divine guidance and enjoy the uplift that will bring you!
