Rating: Summary: Finale to a truly exciting historical Christian love story.. Review: Abbie has, once again, found herself at odds with an important person in her life, her current husband, Cole. I admired Cole during this entire book and wanted to shake Abbie several times. I felt she was unrealistic in her expectations of Cole, and she made entirely TOO much difference between her small son by Monte and her adopted daughter Jenny. I particularly enjoyed (and also cringed) at the reappearance of the band of outlaws who finally come for a showdown. Emotions ran high and feelings ran deep in this finale by Heitzmann. Personally, for me, there was a bit too much violence in this one book, but it was necessary for the outcome. I am looking forward to another series or single book by her.
Rating: Summary: This series is a real page turner! Review: I have thoroughly enjoyed this whole series and wanted to spend every spare moment reading these books. I came to love the characters and was especially interested in the romance between Abbie and Cole. The books were full of adventure and romance. I would really love to see another sequel to this series that would develop the relationships farther. I am an avid Christian Historical Fiction fan and this series is among the best that I have read!
Rating: Summary: PERFECT! Review: Kristen Heitzmann does it again! I found this whole series exciting! I Bought the whole thing at once, and couldn't put it down until I was finished. A perfect example of good christian romance fiction!

Rating: Summary: This series is a real page turner! Review: Kristen Heitzmann is a wonderful writer, and this series has become one of my favorites. I really loved all of the books in the series, with the last two being my favorites. I loved how Cole and Abbie finally got married, since I really came to like Cole. I also wish very much to read more about Cole and Abbie, but for now, I would just like to thank Kristen Heitzmann for writing such a wonderful series! I'm greatly looking forward to "The Rose Legacy" and what it might offer!
Rating: Summary: A great book and a great series! Review: Kristen Heitzmann is a wonderful writer, and this series has become one of my favorites. Rating: Summary: Wonderfully entertaining reading. Review: Newly married, Abbie knows that her life with Cole will never be dull. What she doesn't know is if her blossoming love will be able to drive away the nightmares of her past. Cole, however, is determined to capture her whole heart, and he means to win over her young son, as well, even it means contradicting Abbie's normally tight rein. The normal ups and downs of family life are intensified with the arrival of a wayward young woman named Birdie. Then Crete Marlowe and his band of comrades arrive at Rocky Bluffs with vengeance in their hearts and the intent to kill. Cole knows he must bring them to justice, but Abbie wonders at what cost? Will she ever be able to forgive Cole for allowing honor to once again jeopardize their live? Honor's Reward is newest title in Kristen Heitzmann's "In The Shadow Of The Mountains" series of truly, entertaining, and outstanding western romances showcasing the saga of Abbie and Cole Jasper, their blended family, and God's grace and love discovered in the most unlikely places. The other highly recommended titles of the series include Honor's Pledge; Honor's Price; Honor's Quest; and Honor's Disguise.
Rating: Summary: Why did it have to end now? Review: Out of all five of Mrs.Heitzmann's books, this was my favorite: Fast-paced, and well-written, the author deftly intertwined her fantastic wry humor that is so complimentary to her gritty western backdrop. Over her last three books, I came to adore Cole Jasper, and it was a delight to see Abbie and his relationship grow and stumble, only to flourish again. What a journey! Plenty of action hit you in the face towards the end, but the ending was heart-warming enough to cause you to realize you've come to care for these characters. The end wasn't enough to leave me totally satisfied. I sincerely hope we somehow catch a glimpse of Cole and Abbie and the gang in later work by this author. Her characters are far too endearing to let go so soon! My vote: Five stars
Rating: Summary: This is very well-written! Review: This book is a great addition and conclusion to this series. Kristen Heitzmann wraps everything up nicely at the end. Abbie Jasper has just married Cole and together with her son, Elliot and Jenny and the beautiful Birdie, they make up their ragamuffin family. Crete Marlowe is seeking his revenge on Cole and Birdie for making him wanted for the murder of the girl whom Cole was accused of killing. Cole knows he must protect his family and bring Crete to justice. But will Abbie be able to face what's coming next for her? Will she ever get over what had happened to Monte? Will she ever be friends with Marcy? Will everything turn out in the end? A great book, I couldn't put it down!
Rating: Summary: A Must for Kristen Heiztman fans Review: This wonderful series follows the life of Abbie, an independant woman of her time, and those she loves. The series shows her maturing as a person and a Christian. In "Honor's Reward", she must shed her idealistic self to face the realities of life, just as most women must. The process is often painful, but also has it's own rewards. One of the conversions to Christianity seemed a bit unrealistic to me, but like Abbie, I must learn that things don't always follow my way of thinking. God ways are higher than mine. I don't understand how Abbie continues to keep infomation from Elliot concerning his father. I feel so close to these characters that I miss Monte. Like my very real life, the characters grow and change, eventually finding the true meaning of life.
