Rating: Summary: Great Teaching Tool Review: I love this book! I am in Jewish education, but these are stories that both traditions share. Younger kids watch fascinated as the story unfolds and the paper folds. Older kids can fold along with the storyteller. I will often give the directions to the older kids so they can tell the story again with the folding and teach others. Somehow the folding really adds a dimension to the children's listening and thinking about the story--it's not just a gimmick. But it is also a great gimmick! One can customize the foldings to other stories not given in this book, but I wish the author would come out with another book of folding stories. I am buying this book even as I write this review, because I don't like to depend on my kids' day school library for it--I must have it for my own. I'm also buying the holiday book, though I suspect it's for Christian holidays, but I might be able to customize the stories, and I learn a lot just from the techniques the author describes.
