Summary: Self-Awareness through Christ
Review: As a woman who is 'rediscovering' her faith, this book helped me to begin self-awareness through Christ. I love reading a book that is written intelligently, and this is not fluff in a 'self-help' sense. Where you have questions, Christ has answers, and Sharon Jaynes helps to develop and reaffirm a sense of inner beauty. Here are the some of the chapters where you'll find humor, reflection and enlightenment:
-Mirror, Mirror on the Wall: Seeing yourself as God sees you
-Confidence Makeover: Overcoming inferiority, insecurity, and inadequacy
-Faith-lift: Taking God at His Word
-Mind Makeover: Changing the way we think
-Exercise Regimen: Learning to run like Paul
-Exfoliate the Old: Getting rid of unholy habits
-A Day at the Spa: Spending time with the Makeover Artist

Summary: Biblical knowledge and enjoyable reading
Review: I just finished reading this book with a group of women. We all agreed that this book contains some very deep, biblically correct wisdom in a very readable and understandable way. If you are looking for some basic facts about who God says you are... this author does a wonderful job .

Summary: Great Reminder
Review: We are so often told who we are by the society that we live in, and we believe what they say. If we don't fit into the mold that is coveted, we stress ourselves out of balance to achieve that goal. (I can be guilty of this too, I'm not trying to look down my nose at the phenomenon).

This book is a wonderful, and much needed, reminder of who we really are. God made us, He is the best one to teach us what we should aspire to be. This book, however, does not just show us the goal of who we SHOULD be, but also reminds us who we already ARE. We (as Christians)are children of God, citizens of Heaven, saints! Mrs. Jaynes does a great, biblically sound, and smart job of displaying who we are in God through touching stories, sound reasoning, and Scripture.

I just finished the book a couple of weeks ago, and am about to read it again with my Bible Study. It is the best book I've read this year, and one of the best I've ever read.

Mrs. Jaynes was surely blessed in writing this, and has blessed all of us by sharing her work with us.
