Summary: The most amazing books
Review: God Allows U-Turns are the most amazing books I have ever read. Currently I have read volumes 1 & 2. These stories are so down to earth, they are truly real. Stories about everyday people overcoming tremendous obstacles. It's about hope and healing. Stories that make your eyes water and your heart smile. Each story is like a sip of sunlight which leaves you thirsty for more. I wasn't able to put them down. I am eagerly awaiting volume 3.

Summary: Tell all your friends!
Review: God Allows U-Turns is a book that you must read carefully to process and savor the messages inside. The stories are written from the heart by ordinary people who have words of hope, encouragement and healing through sometimes very painful situations. In the midst of each story, God speaks, He moves. This is not a book that you will easily forget. You will experience the awesome power of God as he reached down and saved a young man's life in the story "River Ride." Each story will touch your heart, mind and soul.

The stories begin with Allison Gappa Bottke's personal story, to stories of automobile breakdowns, encouraging billboards,an elderly gardener who changed a young man's life through not reacting to mistreatment, to a story of white roses for an abused woman. Summary: Blessed by this book
Review: I purchased your book GOD ALLOWS U TURNS last summer and my God, has it blessed my life. I was struggling with sin When I went to my local Christian book store I saw the book sitting there and the title just spoke to me. I had to buy it, but ironically I was buying it for someone else instead of myself. Well, I started to read it and realized I need this book more than the person I'm buying it for. Praise God for the revelation because reading the numerous stories of hope, love, forgiveness and peace made an impact on me. The realness by which so many of the people wrote their stories has blessed me and kept me encouraged. It has showed me that "real" people who are Believers still struggle with doing the will of the Lord but that God through his Holy Spirit will lead us and guide us back to the path of righteousness if we breakdown and come to him and "want" to change. I could write more, but I won't.

One of the stories made me cry! She and I have the same upbringing and like her I have struggled most of my life with understanding what true love is. Because I was not nurtured or shown real love by my parents it's always been difficult for me to understand and experience God's love. When I was younger I made friends with people I should not have been with and ended up marrying someone who does not love me. Yet, reading Tammera's story helped me to experience God's love for me and see that God has understood all my life this struggle and that he has been waiting and filling in the voids in my life that were not filled in when I was a child. So, please tell her thank you for having the courage and for allowing God to use her story and life to bless me. I never knew anyone else out there struggled with understanding and experiencing true love.

Summary: Need a Lift?
Review: I would encourage anyone needing a lift to read this book. While other inspirational books are good, this one has a deeper Christian emphasis. For those who face life thinking they have blown it this book shows great examples of those with no other way to go who turned to God and found the peace and joy they needed so badly. Just read the book in small doses when you need a lift. You won't be sorry.

Summary: Making the Right Turns
Review: Move over CHICKEN SOUP. Your spotlight is about to be shared with GOD ALLOWS U-TURNS. This group of more than 100 true stories focuses on timeless themes, like love, forgiveness, salvation, grace, and healing. The stories range from 500 to 2500 words and they were selected from more than 1600 submissions. The book was spawned by the author's desire to share the story of her personal victory over abuse, divorce and abortion. The focus of the selections is on overcoming obstacles by turning to the Lord for help and to the Bible for direction.

The stories are well written, the topics are common place, and the experiences tug at one's heartstrings. Pastors will find them useful to illustrate sermon points.

Given the success of the CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL books and the desperate need for an encouraging word from a biblical perspective, this new series is bound to move to the top of the reading charts.

Review: This is an awesome volume of stories! They will make you laugh, cry and re-think how God does allow "u-turns" in your life... It would make an excellent gift for a friend or loved one who needs encouraging in their faith. Also, it would be an excellent witnessing tool. Real folks, real stories, real faith... an unbeatable combination. I highly recommend it.

Summary: If You Need a Lift, God Allows U-Turns Delivers
Review: When I read the new book, God Allows U-Turns, Volume One, I was both moved by the stories and impressed with the quality of writing found in this inspiring collection. The introduction, written by the founder of this new series, Allison Gappa Bottke, was particularly touching in its raw honesty and beauty. It's difficult to pick out a favorite story. They are all wonderfully different yet carry the same, uplifting message of hope and healing. This is a book that anyone could relate to in that it clearly shows our humanism and our weaknesses while providing a good dose of hope for all. I look forward with great anticipation to future volumes.
