Summary: A Picture of Reality in Afghanistan
Review: Amazing account of what God is truly doing in a war torn country. John Weaver is truly on mission to do God's work. it was very moving to hear his account of Operation Christmas Child/Samaritan's Purse. He convinced me that we are blessed so that we may bless others. A must read!

Summary: I as truley moved by this book
Review: I picked this book up while out with a friend. I had seen it on a shelf at my local Christian bookstore and had passed it by several times. For some reason I picked it up and without much thought I purchased it on this day. I sat down to read it without ANY expectation what-so-ever. I just enjoy reading about missionaries and their work. I just could not put it down. It was easy to read and so compelling. I prayed for John and the people of Afghanistan several times during my reading. You just want to share his experience with your friends. I have recommended it to several of my friends as an easy weekend read that will uplift you in spirit. I cannot recommend this book enough. As several of my friends say,"There are no accidents just blessings from God." Buy and enjoy.

Summary: Please read this book!
Review: John Weaver's account of his experiences as an aid worker in Afghanistan is exceptional on several levels. First, as the other reviewers have noted is his witness as a servant of God. However, more important to me personally, was his love for the people of Afghanistan and his perspective on a people who have suffered much and yet live with an incredible hope for the post Taliban future.
Most of us have heard the news accounts of the Taliban in Afghanistan and events since the coalition forces overthrew that regime. However, to truly appreciate what all this means to the people of Afghanistan takes a personal insight into the people themselves. John Weaver shares their story with insight, compassion, and reality.
I initially picked up this book to gain insight into the lives of the Afghan people, as my husband was serving there in the military. My husband was clearly captivated by their determination and hope for a stable future and I wanted to know more personally the people he came to care for so deeply. "Inside Afghanistan" is a remarkable account that I strongly encourage anyone to read. Whether you read it as the personal testimony of John Weaver's experiences and faith or as a way to better understand the challenges facing the people of Afghanistan, this is a book that will enrich you greatly.

Summary: Inspiring
Review: This book told the of the accounts of a man dedicated to One. This is no ordinary account of a missionary in a foreign land. We read of his good days and bad days. We see John pouring out himself to the people of Norther Afghanistan. We see him at times fustrated and angry. John came accross as just a regular person with an irregular call on his life. He is God's man in Northern Afghanistan.
This book will brings both laughter and tears. It will have you cheering and booing.
