Summary: Practical, Encouraging, Inspiring
Review: I've seen so many Christian couples struggling with prodigal children. This book is a compilation of honest, gritty stories of love, hope and healing by those who've walked this heartbreaking walk. The transparent accounts are written by well-known leaders who were very nearly derailed by losing a child to drugs.

Besides those families touched by the drug epidemic, this book seems to indirectly provide hope for parents of all kinds of "far-country children." Shame and secrecy are two of Satan's most powerful tools. The book addresses alternatives to those. The chapters on "Keeping Your Marriage Healthy When Your Kids Aren't" could apply to any number of kid situations.

I try to keep a couple books on hand and I've never had such grateful feedback on a book-- it's filled with help and hope. The resources and addendum are worth their weight in gold. Buy more than one copy. This is one you'll want to share with hurting families.
