Summary: Short but Concise and Well-Written
Review: I bought this book and was glad to see someone tackle the issue that America is not Babylon and it's not even mentioned in the Bible. I'd give the book a five-star but for one criticism. The author gives several possibilites pertaining to America's downfall and believes the rapture is the key factor to the fall of America. I believe that as well but I believe the author has quite a task of convincing people the rapture is the key factor to the fate of America.

Summary: GREAT 1 of a kind book. :)
Review: I could hardly lay this book down. The author goes over several popular theories as to the mentioning of America in the Holy Bible. A case is thoughtfully made for each theory, then he points out his opinion on each one without cramming it down your throat. I am not sure I agree with his final conclusions, but I am convinced that this book is a must read if you are studying bible prophecy. I strongly recommend this book!

Summary: Like yelling fire
Review: My mother had always been a pretty sensible lady, but after my father died she became a bible-thumping Christian. And she was really into the evangelical cause. She'd never cared about politics much, but now she is full of paranoiac gibberish about Hillary Clinton and the Trilateral Commission, taxpayers' money being sent to a secret hole where the Catholic Church was developing mind control drugs to convert American presidents etc etc etc
This has become her favorite book. We live in an area that has been overrun by retirees, with new people moving in all the time, of all kinds. Pretty nice people too, but many of them are pretty different from the people we grew up with. To see the old lady peeping suspiciously out the window, then picking this Hitchcock nonsense up about the "Antichrist" and claiming these people are from the United Nations and the Pope and the Communist Party, it's driving us crazy. She thinks the Methodist Church is in on it too, since they came out against the Iraq War.

Summary: A good handbook on Biblical prophecy...
Review: The ascendance and assumption of power by the Antichrist is the subject of Mark Hitchcock's book "Is the Antichrist Alive Today?" Short and concise (105 pages), Hitchcock gets straight to the point by referencing Biblical prophecy and providing his commentary on the matter. Given its brevity, this would be a good book for a Bible study to focus upon, shoring up knowledge of the subject of end-times prophecy.

Definitely worth the time and effort!

Review: The book is dead on.
We will be judged according to our faith and then rewarded by how WE treated God's chosen, the Jews.

Summary: Very good..
Review: The question that this book asks it whether or not American appears in Bible prophecy. It does not, the author concludes after giving an exgesis and refutation of Bible passages that some claim that the Bible predicts America in the future. Why is that? The author says that America isn't mentioned in the Bible because the prophecies that describe the Earth's "latter days" and "tribulation" take place after the Rapture. Most Americans will be taken up in the Rapture (the most escapist notion ever concieved short of suicide) and then since America looses so much of its population, it is absorbed by the European Union, which isn't weakened by the rapture because fewer Europeans are as ignorant and Biblically illiterate. After the rapture a supposed conversion will take place amoung 144,000 thousand Jews in Isreal who will witness for Christ because of the absence of the evangelical Christians. This book perpetuates the myth that Jews are God's "chosen people," which is a universal belief among 'fundamentalist' Christians today. The author says we are supposed to support Israel through its struggles, despite the fact that our policy of supporting Israel is what causes so much hatred of the United States around the world. The Bible says that the only name under heaven by which we are saved is "Jesus Christ", and not "Jew" or "Israel."
