Review: J Dwight Pentecost is a veteran seminary professor and well known Bible teacher, but first and foremost he is a pastor. Perhaps that is why this book of doctrine seems to offer so much encouragemet for it's reader. While this book is only 159 pages in length it is much greater in depth and power than it's small package conveys. Pentecost offers more than theology, he offers antidotes, analogies and personal stories that open up these 14 basic doctrines in a warm and fresh way. There is a grace to how Dr. Pentcost writes. He engages the reader, is easy to read and yet offers much meat to chew on. If you are just beginning to study theology or perhaps desire a small reference book to turn to time and time again, this book is recommended.
