Summary: it made me laugh and touched my heart with life's fragility
Review: I loved every bit of this book! I laughed outloud silly during the first part of the book and then things got serious when Whitney's friend, Kim, is diagnosed with breast cancer. I do wish the summary on the back cover hinted to a serious plot twist but it was fine. The author wove it all in beautifully and there were laughs amid tears.
Book is filled with prayer guidance as well as scripture references that I found inspiring and perfectly fit in the story. I would like to think we will see Whitney again in another journaling type book. hint hint!!!

Summary: powerful look at the desires of a fabulous woman
Review: When Whitney Blake turned thirty, she started to wonder if she will ever meet her soul mate. She knows she could love Eric, but he is too irresponsible to keep a date let alone a commitment. Matt might be the one, but she doubts he would put her before his business. Her co-worker Mitzi bullies Whitney into trying a matchmaking service, but the encounter leaves her feeling she is better off alone.

When her best friend Kim discovers she has a lump on her breast, Whitney is there for her throughout the surgery, the radiation treatment, and the depression. She is consistently thrown together with Kim's doctor Chase. Whitney thinks he could be the one, but she also knows he remains hurt from the betrayal of his fiancée and is not ready to start dating yet. After al the anecdotal evidence, she concludes that if there is a man out there for her, he will have to find her.

THE WHITNEY CHRONICLES is written as a series of journal entries so that the reader is aware of most thoughts and emotions that the protagonist feels. The audience will like the nice Whitney although her patience for finding her mate is miniscule yet her being there for Kim makes her wonderful. Judy Baer provides a powerful that lays bare the inner fears and desires of a fabulous woman.
