Summary: The first love
Review: Paul's letter to the Cornithians arrays some important principles to the Church nowdays.Especially on themes dealing with love .A notable expression on 1Corr 11:13 "that love is better than hope & faith OR even his expression on man having words sound like angels, without love it is just like a dong. Our love today for the Lord must be very deep and strong rooted in the word of God.Mr Hays book on Corrinithians will greatly help those new souls and new church established themselves well on the word love for God.I would rather love God now and earn a place in heaven rather than hating him and deported to hell.

Summary: A Brilliant and Readable Work
Review: Richard Hays is one of those writers who could make car rusting interesting! This is not a verse by verse commentary, so look elsewhere (eg; Gordon Fee NICNT and/or Anthony Thiselton NIGTC), if that is what you are looking for. Rather, this is a commentary that is designed to help with proclamation. Hays provides language helps at times throughout the commentary. The commentary is so well written and flows so well that it more than serves its purpose. In fact, I think this one exceeds the usual bounds of the Interpretation series in general. Stuningly fresh interpretations of difficult texts! A helpful work that pastors and teachers will appreciate and informed laypeople will find tremendously helpful in better understanding the text of 1 Corinthians.
