Review: Great little Bible. God is happy with it! I purchased it for my 20 yr old daughter to take to college. It's good quality and portable. I find the NIV a good alternative to the RSV or NRSV as a Lutheran.

Summary: The Best Pocket NIV
Review: I have found that this is the best pocket bible. Use where you need a complete bible in a pocket size, such as for devotional reading and evangelism. It's size makes it excellent for travel because it fits easily into your travel gear (suit pocket, attache case, handbag, etc.) I use it every day during my commute to work. I have recommended and bought this bible for friends and acquaintances, and everyone admires it. The snap tab protects the long-edge gold leafs. People are surprised that it contains both the Old and New Testaments. It does not include extensive study aids -- that would only add to its bulk.

Summary: Good Book; Terrible Binding
Review: I just finished my second copy of this Bible. So, how can a Christian EVER finish with a Bible? Answer: when its binding is as bad as this one. Granted, I am a pastor and I use this bible every day. But I do not bend it backwards or shake it around when I preach - and it's a good thing, because pages would fly everywhere! Both bibles have lasted 18 months. I will now try Zondervan's version, which has the EXACT same pagination and typesetting, hoping that they have bound it better than Broadman and Holman.

Review: The Thinline Pocket-size NIV Bible is the best Bible I've ever had. I am a minister to children and youth, and it comes in handy during my teaching times. It's easy to read, and best of all, it's not bulky or hard to carry. The thinline Bible is the perfect gift for someone on the go. I'm purchasing one for a former youth group member who is in need of new Bible. I am excited to hear how she likes this new Thinline Pocket Bible. I hardly ever use my NIV Study Bible anymore...mainly because of the convenience of the Pocket-sized NIV. It's light-weight and fun to use. In my opinion, this is a must have. When my current Pocket-sized NIV deteriorates, I will purchase another one just like it...it's been very helpful to me in my ministry.
