Rating: Summary: Dr. McGee was an excellent Bible expositor. Review: His work on Daniel was no exception. Although it does not go into any great theological depth (then again why does it have to?), this commentaryis an excellent introduction to this mysterious, prophetic book. "Comparing spiritual things with spiritual," Dr. McGee eschews pointless speculation, and fantastic theorizing in order to present a clear picture of this book, which is that it is the gateway book to endtime Bible prophecy. This book is ideal for a daily devotional guide, as well as a group study guide. I would certainly use it either way. If the commentary on Daniel is indicative of the way his other commentaries are written, I will be purchasing more of the late J. Vernon McGee's books.
Rating: Summary: Easy style to read Review: McGee writes in a smooth style that is easy to read and understand. He tries to be humorous at times.
The verses are also contained in the book so you don't need to have your bible with you to follow along. The book starts at the beginning of the book of Daniel and describes each chapter until the end of the book.
I learned a lot from reading this book and gained a better insight into the book of Daniel.
