Summary: Great read!
Review: What a wonderful little book! I have read it 5 or 6 times now and every time find myself saying, "yeah! that's right". Before you read this book it is important to know that it is only 96 pages, therefore, it is not going to answer all of your theological questions or clear up 2 thousand years of Christian history. But what this book promises, it delivers. A down-to-earth look at christianity. That is what I hear people wanting at my college campus. People want the church to be "real" and relavent. Some people may feel the book is too simple, I disagree, it was refreshingly "real". This book pulls us back to what is really important is Christianity....Christ.

Summary: A terrific book that's well worth your time
Review: What else could you ask for, but an interesting book, well-written, culture-connected, with a truly biblical perspective on the God-man. It's a fast-paced quick read.

My response to Michael Mazza is "Never judge a philosophy by its abuse." ~ Saint Augustine. You can not look to the crusades or any other offensive acts performed by self-proclaimed "Christians". When and if you judge my faith, you can consider only the object of my faith. In this case, Jesus Christ, the perfect son of God.

Summary: Human analysis and science are stumped by a smiling God.
Review:    As a victim of years of theological dogma, this book for me became a refreshing and life-changing look at God. I was raised thinking that God demanded of humans perfect obedience and I believed that knowledge and understanding were prerequisites for following God. Those are both untrue. Everts has angered many a theologian who wants to think that by being 'well read' they can somehow get a better look at God. Everts has angered all who wish to look at God in a complex world of their own construction. Everts had repeated God's simply command and torn other's complexities to splinters. God did not command beauracracy to be created, God did not wish us to make any great distance between us and him. Jesus gave the simple request "Follow me."
Everts' book may not be perfect, however, I now have a much better relationship with God.

To those who wish to learn of God, I recommend this book with all my little heart. To those who wish to disrespect this simple, powerful book; I stick my tongue out at you. :-)~
