Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Perfect
Review: A spiritual reference. This book is similar to Aurobindo's book as a spiritual instructional manual. Unlike Aurobindo's book this one wasn't pieced together by letters to disciples. It's much more coherent and consise. The information is very similar to Aurobindo's. Meher talks about Reincarnation, Karma, Maya, Meditation, Sanskaras, Ego, God, Realization, Love and Happiness from his enlightened perspective. His insights and understanding seem to be right on the money.

Summary: The "Best of the Best" Book on spirituality and life
Review: I have kept a copy of Meher Baba's "Discourses" close, very close, for 30 years. A sweet-wild music still rises from these pages and stunning truths still break wine bottles over my head. And most of all this book rips away all that keeps my heart from flight.

Daniel Ladinsky, author/translator of "I Heard God Laughing, Renderings of Hafiz"

Summary: The highest of the high.
Review: If I had to clear my personal library of all self-help books save one, this would be the one left standing. And I doubt I'd feel any sense of loss!

Summary: Don't worry, be happy.
Review: There are oh so many books, CDs, and courses about Spirituality. some many mean well and are heartfelt. But there is only one Meher Baba. This volume is a veritable bible for the seeker. I cannot think of any other books that are filled with complete understanding and that define the world we live in. It is truely a MUST own book. Do yourself the great favor of owning this treasure.

Summary: You will never read another book like this.
Review: This book gives you essential spiritual insight and answers to all the major questions and problems of life. Meher Baba helps you look at life from a spiritual point of view, allowing you to understand why the world is why it is and why you are the way you are... beware though, you may find the answers to be deceptively simple. Meher Baba speaks with divine authority.. there is no "my opinion is.." or "research shows.." or "..is probably because" written in this book. I cannot recommend this book enough! From a personal standpoint, the person I was when I started reading this book was not the same person who finished reading it... and believe me when I say I had wracked my soul in trying to find answers in life that were provided here. But most importantly, reading this was a catalyst for allowing me to feel God's love that unites all life. Can I logically explain this? No. Will this happen to you? Only if it's meant to. Should you read this book anyway? Absolutely. Did Meher Baba expect everyone to be able to follow these spiritual practices perfectly? I would most definitely guess not... I know I can't. Meher Baba basically wrote a how-to and explanation book about the journey to God.

Summary: Perfect
Review: To quote another reviewer, this book truly is the highest of the high. Truly a desert island book. Manages to be infinitely profound while at the same time infinitely practical.
