Review: I bought this Bible because I wanted one that was easy to understand and would help me find what God's word says about my problems. This is the best ever. Anytime something is bothering me I can look in it and it will direct me to the passages that give the most help and answers.

Summary: The best Bible for the hurting
Review: I picked up this Bible for the new translation since my other Bible was the older Living Bible. I was amazed at how helpful this Bible was. I was in a very hurting situation and went to the back picked the emotion I was feeling and read the scripture associated with the emotion. Now it's the main source I use first for help. I was so impressed I bought the smaller Touchpoint pocket book. The only draw back of this book is that the paper cover curls. I bought a cover like the one's they put on library paperbacks and it solved my problem. It's a more durable book now. And I can wipe off the cover if it gets wet or dirty. Awesome Book! A great help when you are broken and hurting.

Summary: Inspiration on every page.....key verses highlighted!
Review: I picked up this translations over seven years ago and credit it, in part, for beginning my journey through the Bible. First the New Living Translation is easy to read and understand. Second, this particular edition takes inspirational and encouraging verses and puts them right at the top of the page in large bold type so that all you have to do is flip through the pages and you'll quickly find a word of encouragement. I would reacommend this Bible version for anyone wanting to read the Bible, but feeling intimidated (or bored) by other translations. I would strongly recommend this version as a gift as well.

Summary: Best indepth self-help book one could ever own!
Review: This bible is written on an eigth grade level of reading, enabling all to enjoy and comprehend what is being told. This is the 5th bible I am purchasing for friends and with each one I give, the reader has so been blessed each time they read, and has asked me to get one for some of their friends. In the back of the bible, it has a list of helpfinders when you are soul searching for answers. i.e. topics like mothering, loyalty,hardship,healing, peace, etc.it gives you all the passages to research. I'm telling you, it has pulled me through some awful rough times!It also has on scattered pages little boxes of information that deal with todays issues and is easily associated with our life. I can't say enough about this easy to understand book of the word of God.

Summary: The Word of the Living God On Your Point of Need!
Review: Wow, this is one incredible book! First of all, it's a terrific translation of the Word of God (NLV), plus, it has specific "touchpoints" throughout. These touchpoints are on almost every other page and show how particular Scriptures can relate to your life. The book also has a huge touchpoints section in the back for you to look up specific things (i.e.: evangelism, sexual impurity, etc...) relating to you. The NLV translation is wonderful for a plain and simple presentation of the Word. The only complaint that I suppose I would have is that sometimes the Touchpoints throughout leave a bit more to be desired. I suppose this is to make the book openly accepted by all denominations. Truly a wonderful Bible...
