Originally published in a pocket-sized 336 pages, the book has sold over 50,000 copies since its first printing in 1982. Although the expanded edition is now 600 pages, the book is inimally larger in size and thickness than the original since it is printed on Bible paper. In the new edition one can find something to suit almost any taste or occasion. It contains short sections summarizing Catholic doctrine, the Order of Mass in Latin and in English on facing pages, as are many of the prayers, and devotions to the Trinity, Christ, Mary and Joseph. The section on Catholic doctrine covers ways to live a better spiritual life through prayer and habitual spiritual practices. Especially handy is a table showing the holy days of obligation for many English-speaking countries. The Order of Mass encompasses the general liturgy, rubrics, and prefaces for various seasons, feasts and memorials, as well as a large number of prayers that can be said before and after Mass.

Review: This book contains everything you need to grown in your Catholic spirituality. Introduced to me by a priest friend to compliment the Manual Of Prayers. Includes how to be a better Catholic, Basic prayers, Midday & Evening prayers, Preparation for Mass, The Eucharistic Sacrifice, Prayers after Mass, Adorationand so much more. A must have for all catholics. Family heirloom quality.

Summary: GREAT PRAYER BOOK FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS
Review: This brief, yet substantial, book of prayers in an invaluable collection of Catholic prayers. There are the traditional prayers like the "Our Father" and the "Holy Rosary" but also prayers for before and after Mass, stations of the cross, devotions to the Holy Spirit and St. Joseph. Also, conveniently, there is the text of the Mass in English and Latin in the middle of the prayer book. The prayer book is beautifully bound and edited.
