Summary: May be a good place to begin a journey, but move on quickly
Review: My wife recently brought this book home and I was immediately drawn to it, as I am to just about anything on the topic of God. The very inviting format also helped to pull me right in, but I soon realized that this is a book for those just beginning the spiritual journey, and in a conventional Christian setting. And this may be a good starting place for some, but contemporary adult seekers are increasingly expecting a bigger perspective on God then that which is offered here. Not to deny the right of those who wish to present God, religion or spirituality from limited perspectives, but adults are better served when authors at least acknowledge up front that they are speaking in the context of a particular tradition. The authors of this book seem only able to speak of God exclusively in evangelical, bible-believing terms (see the chapters on the Bible, Jesus and church). Nowhere in the text do they acknowledge this perspective or relate it to the everyday "details" of pluralism, a definite must for those who would speak authentically to contemporary adult seekers. Granted, these reservations may seem to be "small stuff," but for so many today they are the "details" God, it seems, has chosen to be "in."

Summary: Very Basic and Simplistic
Review: This book does a wonderful job of explaining how to develop a relationship with God. It is simple almost to a childish level, which some people--snugly wrapped up in their intellectualism--may find offensive, but it is written in the way God would have wanted it. God wants a relationship with everyone...not just intellectuals. It may be a good book for those just starting on their walk with God, but also for those who have been walking with Him for years, as it will remind them that God is, in essence, a very simple and approachable Being. If God ever seems too complicated to understand, it is because we have, in our own minds, complicated Him.

Review: This book made me laugh and think at the same time. The short chapters are perfect for the person who is constantly on the run and the person has a short attention span, like me. This book is full of wonderful insights that will stay with me forever.

Review: This book will remain on my bedside table along with my bible and other treasured books. It's perfect for those who are already spiritual and feel intimately connected to God, and for those who are searching for Him/Her in their lives. I particularly appreciate the lightness and humor of the authors. It makes a wonderfully inspiring and uplifting gift.

Summary: Wonderful, uplifting book!!
Review: This is the perfect book that a person can easily read, understand, and seek the ways of a life of a Christian. Bruce and Stan are great authors that can make the Word of the Lord easy to understand for everyone! I highly recommend this book for anyone who would like to see "God In the Small Stuff" in their lives!!
