Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Dosen't Quite Deliver Review: God's Leading Lady is truly a "must read" for any lady who needs a little help keeping the fire burning as they move forward with God to become the master piece that God has created them to be.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: GOD'S LEADING LADY Review: GREAT JOB! BOOK CAME IN JUST IN TIME FOR BOOKCLUB IN PERFECT CONDITION. THE BOOK IS HARD TO READ AT FIRST BUT THEN IT GETS BETTER.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Discovering ourselves as leading ladies Review: I believe that this book is a wonderful book and the a great work. I felt as though this book was designed for me for the emotional period that I was facing in my life and it gave me a new perspective as a Christian women. T.D. Jakes was able to explain how a lot of women feel today: striving for success but never really reaching it or feeling as though it was in vain because it feels as though they have a mediocre lifestyle. I have taken his advice in the book and formed some new year resolutions that I intend to follow for this year and years to come.

Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: A Platitude on Every Page Review: I have loved listening to Bishop Jakes preach since he was still in his little church in West Virginia. I've watched his programs and listened to his tapes. I bought this book on his name alone. What a disappointment. God's Leading Lady is like one continuous pep rally. Rah! Rah! Rah! Sister, you can do it. Go! Go! Go! "Step out of the shadows and into the light". "Don't believe that you are alone no matter how desolate and bare your life's theater feels". "You must move beyond the Potter's shelf into the fire of greatness". "It is time you soar". "All the world is your stage--step up and allow yourself to shine".
I agree wholeheartedly with the message of this book. As women, we do put shackles on ourselves or allow others to do so. I don't think the author did enough to explain how to soar, just to have faith and do it. I couldn't get into the message or the point of the book because I was exhausted from wading through paragraph after paragraph of rhetoric and tedium. The book did get better as it went along, but not enough to warrant the money spent.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: im a leading lady Review: I originally purchased this book at the airport on my way to Virginia over a year ago. At first I could not connect myself with the book. While reading I would drift off and ended up placing the book back on my bookshelf knowing that I wasn't ready for the message that it obtained. Just recently I finished the book and when I first started to read it again I was at a state in my life in which I needed guidance in finding my place on the world's stage. The Lord worked with me in accordance to my reading, and day-by-day, page-by-page, I was deeply influenced by the message. It gave me encouragement and self-confidence. As a young woman I have taken many roles in my life, and the burden of these roles overwhelmed me. Yet in every lesson that the book taught and example of women of God in the bible, I obtained the reassurance needed to move forward and grow into the person that lived inside of me.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Extol for Ennui Evaporator Review: I thoroughly enjoyed T.D. Jakes' "God's Leading Lady" which is heavily based in Scriptural principles. It directs a shining light of inspiration and hope that begins with the Introduction and continues all the way through to the final paragraph. I highly recommend this book as a wonderful inspirational tool to assist any woman in creating the resolve within herself to take those first steps into her future. Bishop Jakes' ability to juxtapose the analogical comparisons of the Bible's leading ladies with more modern women effectively communicates the timelessness of the message that God has a purpose for all His daughters, and that we are responsible for seeking and fulfilling that purpose. He shows us that it isn't necessary to envision ourselves as the beau ideal, or pretend to possess the brilliance of a sage. We simply have to be ourselves, while grasping and harnessing the energy of the storm that rages inside us, taking control of our destiny. While I don't agree with his theology, I am definitely recommending this book as it is not a reflection of his theological beliefs.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Spotlight is on YOU Review: In God's Leading Lady, like his previous books: Women, Thou Art Loosed and The Lady, Her Lover and Her Lord; Jakes encourages women to step into the limelight and become a leading lady. Jakes breathes a contemporary relevance into familiar biblical lessons in which women are featured. He shows women a path by which they can overcome burdens and obstacles and assume their starring role in today's society. Jakes incorporates the stories of Cathy Hughes, Oprah, and Eleanor Roosevelt as modern day examples of women who have answered the charge of being one of God's leading ladies. After reading this book, one will feel refreshed and rejuvenated and ready to dust off those dreams and move towards making them a reality.
