Review: This book is short and yet filled with help for new leaders. It covers how to be successful at leadership tasks, and it explains very well why many leaders cannot move into leadership positions. I was very impressed with it. It's a good "starter book" for the 7 habits by Covey.

Review: This is one of the most thought provoking books on leadership and management I've read in a long time! (I'm a "reading machine", reading a book a week.)

Rick very effectively demonstrates his 5 essential from familar historical events. He makes an excellent point that it is hard, but crucial, to keep all 5 essential "going" at the same time.
