Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Important for anyone who has lost a loved one.
Review: I recently lost my fiance' to a sudden heart attack. The shock has not worn off nearly four months after the tragedy and I suspect it has changed me forever. This book was loaned to me by a friend and I read it cover to cover in one sitting. It was easy to read and hit so close to home. I am Catholic but my loss has shaken my faith. Mary White struggled, as I do, with the question of "why?" and her story follows her evolution through pain into acceptance and peace. I particularly liked the text in italics where she questions God and hears His answers. I refer to these passages often for comfort. Also the section at the back of the book that takes you through the stages of grief is a great help. I would recommend this book to anyone trying to find peace with a loss that has made them question their beliefs.
