Rating: Summary: a peaceful journey Review: Father Kleba leads you on a peaceful and reflective journey as he describes the life of the father of Jesus. How often do we spend time reflecting on what it must be like to parent the Christ-child? He gently weaves values related to Christian parenting and marriage into this well written little book. Be prepared for some of the license he takes in describing the relationships in this Holy Family. His ideas are taken from his many experiences helping Christian families be the best they can be.An easy and comforting read.

Rating: Summary: Joseph Remembered Review: I am very thankful I bought your book Sunday at the picnic. I read it in one sitting. Once I started, I couldn't put it down. It was wonderful! The way you told the story, I actually felt like I was there with The Holy Family. Reading bits and pieces of the Bible doesn't bring you to how it must have been during Jesus' life as a child and the loving, caring, and gentleness in Joseph as a parent and husband. You really brought them to life for me. Thank you, Donna Huffstutter

Rating: Summary: Joseph - A Role Model That Can Change The World! Review: There's good news and bad news. The bad news is that this book wasn't written years ago. The goods news is that we're finally presented a role model that can inspire and strengthen the family. The book opens a window to a view on the holy family (Joseph in particular) that has never before been presented. Joseph's relationship with Jesus is as human (and as applicable) as any father and son in today's world. While other readers will likely be inspired, I can't help but believe this book was written just for me. As the father of two boys, I expect "Joseph Remembered" will serve as a benchmark, recipe and beautiful reminder on the importance of my role within our family. Would you like the change the world or perhaps leave it just a little better place than it was before? I can't think of a better way than to become the best father (role model)possible. "Joseph Remembered" is the blueprint and the perfect Father's Day gift. I intend to keep giving it year after year. You should too!

Rating: Summary: Inspired by God, yet still human Review: This book is creative, thoughtful, and inspiring. Fr. Kleba answers questions we seldom ask ourselves pertaining to the daily lives of the Holy family. He answers questions such as these: How did Joseph react when Mary told him of the angel visiting her and telling her she would bear a son? How did Joseph and Mary handle the commitment of celibacy? Did Jesus ever tell Joseph how much he loved him and respected him as his earthly father? How did Jesus handle "peer pressure"? Fr. Kleba takes his own vision of how the Holy Family may have lived , and gives this to us in a very readable, sensitive way. I felt as though I was witnessing the happenings in the book firsthand. The message I received from the book, from Fr. Kleba, is this: the Holy Family endured much hardship, both spiritual and physical, mental and emotional. They persevered with faith, hope and love to guide them. They triumphed over despair and doubt. They all said "YES" to what God wanted of them. Seeing the Holy Family in this way, is inspiring. It helps us to see we too can aspire to be better people in our daily lives by saying "YES" to God. We are helped on our journey by God's words to us. Joseph also had words of simple beauty and truth for his son Jesus: "Everyone wants to feel important." ASK stands for ask, seek, knock. What is worthwhile is rarely easy. Sit with people. Listen to them." Fr. Kleba touches on so many intimate topics( celibacy, commitment, faithfulness, sacrifice, LOVE) concerning the Holy Family, that one cannot help but apply the lessons learned by Jesus to one's own life. If you are a parent, you feel the sting of pain that Joseph feels on occasion, yet also the exuberant joy of nurturing God's gift of a child He has entrusted to you. Fr. Kleba's book also helps us reflect on our own childhood , and in that way relate to this more vivid view of how Jesus, the young man, may have thought and behaved. Mary is certainly very fresh and alive in this book also. It could have been entitled " The Holy Family Remembered" because it depicts their intimate lives through the mind and heart of Fr. Kleba. Thank you for your thoughtful, imaginative and inspiring book! God Bless You. Also, there are attractive pictures, reflections and prayers which add to the meaning of the book.
