Rating: Summary: a bit disappointed Review: I thought about getting one as a baptism gift, but I wasn't too impressed with it...the little animals are kind of cute, but the text leaves something to be desired; each story gets a short blurb and that's about it. It's a Reader's Digest book; that should have warned me. I know toddlers have short attention spans, but not THAT short. My niece is nine months old and likes to be read longer, sustained pieces.
Rating: Summary: Great bible stories for little ones! Review: My daughter loves this book! We're buying our second copy because the first one fell apart from being looked at so often. The illustrations are adorable and it highlights Bible stories in a way toddlers can appreciate. I highly recommend it!
Rating: Summary: Great bible stories for little ones! Review: My daughter received this book as a gift. She has enjoyed the book immensely with it's vivid colors, see through page cutouts, & cute animals. Each story is very short - perfect for short attention spans. There is an activity for the child to do after each little story. (i.e. Pretend you're the princess rocking the baby gently in your arms.)For added interest, I ask my daughter to point out the butterfly, swan, Jesus, apples, etc. I highly recommend this book as a gift for a new mom.
Rating: Summary: Perfect! Review: My husband and I were asked to be godparents to my best friend's first baby. I wanted to give the baby a Bible for her Christening that she could begin enjoying almost immediately. I found just what I was looking for in this first Bible. The pictures are bright, the cutouts add to the uniqueness, the summaries of the stories are short and simple, and the handle is just right for little hands. I was also impressed with the way the writer involves the child and the reader. It's perfect!
