Rating: 5 stars
Summary: a revelation of the cross
Review: This sequel to The Wigglesworth Standard follows the same format as the other but what stuck with me was Madden's teaching on the cross. We all know we should love the cross and love to know nothing "save Jesus Christ, and him crucified" but I personally struggle to grasp the fullness of the cross. And I mourn that the crucifixion story bores me too much of the time. And so I was thrilled to receive a new revelation of the work of the cross in the life of the believer through this book. (It got me preaching the cross to my wife and just about anybody else I could get to listen. :)) So, if you desire a new look at the cross then I urge you to read this book. (It's a totally different look than Nee's Normal Christian Life, for example.)
