Rating: Summary: She Is My Hero Review: Even though my mother has gone through cancer two times I still see the greatest amount of love and joy in her life. I have read her books and other manuscripts they touch to the core. I encourage you to read these books because if you are struggeling like most other christians in this world, you will see that there is hope and a light that will guide you. Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: An Exceptional Read Review: I absolutley love to read and have read many, many Christian fictions. This one is one of the best ever. It has a little of everything. Suspense, adventure, love, etc. Once you get started, you will find it hard to put this book down. Metzer is a truley gifted author.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely exceptional! Review: I am a VERY avid reader of inspirational fiction - having read literally hundreds of titles over the past few years. Among so many books, this one stands out as one of my absolute favorites. If you love exotic settings, touching romance, and intriguing suspense, you can't go wrong with this one. (Clearly I thoroughly disagree with one of the other more critical reviews listed...) More importantly, however, is the author's focus on faith - the message is truly inspired. Kudos to Patty Metzer - especially considering the hardships she's endured in her own life. I so hope to see more books from her in the near future.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: I have been reading Christian fiction for 15 years, and have yet to find one as compelling and thrilling as this one. This book not only included suspense (the first time I have been actually INTO a book by the first page), but an interesting plot-though a bit unbelievable- it captured my interest and caused me to want to further research the culutre portrayed. For those who like a little romance-this definately has the perfect blend. There were few downfalls with book-the main one being the unlikeness of Erica enduring the prince's attitude problems...but otherwise...this book is incredible! I definately recommend it.It is obvious that the author has a wonderful talent that I am sure many will enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Action-packed suspense Review: I've read a lot of Christian fiction, and this book had me hooked very early on. I couldn't believe how soon the action started. There's nothing to wade through before the adventure takes off. The storyline and characters are so compelling that, I know it's cliche, but I really couldn't put the book down. I enjoyed the exotic setting and the romance, but what really shines through is a Christian faith that stands up in the face of anything.Patty Metzer was from my home town. I only met her once, briefly, but her death was a loss to the community and a loss to the world of Christian fiction.
Rating: Summary: An Exceptional Read Review: If you like helpless ditzes who it is kind to describe as "not exactly clever" than you may like this book. Yes, you may say I'm being cruel. I payed 11 dollars for this book and started it with high expectations. In our heroines first meeting with the hero she has just escaped by digging under the wall of this shack-with only her fingers. Leaving aside this rather improbable act, she then goes to the market. She is feeling faint, nervous, and scared---until she glances across the market and sees our hero. Then she is even more faint, nervous, and of course admiring the power and strenght that *of course* are emanating from him. He supports her out the market place, half carrying her, and takes her back (clinging little terrified idiot) back to his palace. Later of course, he does other macho things and she admires how strong he is (did I mention he has dark eyes that I am sure flash when under strong emotions) and proceeds to act like she's more than half drugged and missing a significant portion of her wits. In short, she is silly, helpless, weak, and---(what else) beautiful. And OF COURSE she has this wonderful faith which SO impresses the Prince. (The faith seemed rather absent at times) And yet--the killer moment for me--at the end of the book the Prince (as they are agonizing over the life-threatening *do I hear any groans here?* illness of their mutual nephew) remarks how strong she has always been, etc. Gag, gag, gag. This sounds cruel---but it's true. Beware, you have been warned by a nasty person who believes in telling the truth.

Rating: Summary: A Must-Read Review: This book is one of my favorites. It had drama, suspence, and most of all (and, of course, my favorite) romance. In the first chapter my eye brows were squinched and I could not figure out what was happening fully, but by the second chapter, I was completely hooked. The characters were well defined and the plot was captivating and enchanting. Erica's faith is God was evident by her strong convictions, and I believe Patty Metzer did a fabulous job of exibiting Christ-like character in her. She did a fantastic job portraying the Indian religion, and I believe she outdid herself with the outstanding and well-written work she wrote. She deserves more then 5 stars. However, despite these wonderful comments, I advise anyone considering reading this awesome book to make sure they have plenty of time to finish it at once, because frankly you cannot put it down.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Review: This is one of the best books that I have ever read. Its a real page turner. I was up until 3am because I could not put this book down. Erica Tanner is a fantastic heroine who is strong in her Christian faith even if it means she has to live without the man that she loves. The spiritual walk of Sajah kept me intrigued right until the last page. This is a must read book for any fan of christian fiction. I can't wait until Patty Metzer writes another nook.
