Summary: A Romance Novel Worth Reading
Review: While reading Inklings, I was amazed that I actually couldn't put it down. At the end of each chapter, I was compelled to go on. I say this because I don't normally read romance novels. The added historical details of the setting definitely made it more interesting. But I must have liked the heroine too! I think any young lady that is dating or courting age would love to read it. I'm thrilled that it encourages young ladies to keep their hearts and lives pure.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good values, good plot
Review: While the scenerio of innocence despite incrimating evidence is hardly new, the author of Inklings is able to pull it off creditably. The characters were realistic and fairly easy to identify with. Of course, being an English major at the College of William and Mary, just as Kate is, certainly doesn't hurt! The author's style of writing makes it seem as if she's trying too hard at first, but the book smooths out quickly and becomes quite satisfying. I especially appreciated the explanations the author provided of any historical inaccuracies she introduced, rare for a historical romance writer. Overall, this book is worth reading, doesn't expect too much out of you, but will still cause you to question your faith.

Summary: Can't wait for Book 2!
Review: Wow! I am not a big reader, but loved this book. Such an enjoyable story and very quick reading. I didn't want to put it down. Melanie Jeschke does such a great job describing the details of Oxford University, you feel like you're there with the characters, in their classes, on the grounds of the university, and part of their lives. In an age of so much trash in the media it was so pleasant to read a clean story of youthful love and romance. This is a must read for a romantic, a teenager or anyone who would just enjoy a great story. I can't wait to find out what happens in book 2!
