Rating: Summary: Good stuff! Review: ...but not quite what I've been used to. I LOVED it, don't get me wrong, but I think that those who have complained about the difference in Shiloh's character have a point. However, I didn't like Island of the Innocent quite as much at the first reading, either (and I have but 15 minutes ago finished my first reading of this), and then it grew on me with successive readings. Thanks, Lynn and Gilbert, for not ending the story with this! I am REALLY looking forward to the "Cheney and Shiloh" series.

Rating: Summary: It's about time!! Review: After waiting literally years for this book, I finally got this package in the mail. I ripped it open and, not caring about sleep, immediately read the entire thing through. It is a great book. There are such clever insights into Dev's character and how he came to be with the Duvalls. It's nice to see his character develop a little more in this way. Although I did not like it when Shiloh and Cheney weren't talking for a while, it was a great book! I am thrilled that they are continuing this story. There is so much left for Shiloh and Cheney to do now that Shiloh believes. What things they can do now with this united front! I'm now wondering how I can ever wait for the next book! *sigh*
Rating: Summary: After the long delay.... Review: Finally the 8th book has come out. I didn't want to put it down from the moment it came in the mail. Gilbert and Lynn Morris bring back old characters and put in some new. All in all, I loved it and recommend it to anyone. The beginning and end were my favorite and I got a little bored in the middle, but such is life.
Rating: Summary: conclusive, yet disappointing... Review: From the moment I read the first book in the Cheney series, I was instantly hooked. The characters were warm and very believable. I loved the way they interacted with each other. Their feelings and emotions were wonderfully characterized. Lynn Morris brought history and research in, while Gilber Morris brought heart and credibility to the characters. The combination was a fabulous one. One that left me captivated and hungry for more each and every time I picked up one of the books... I was anxiously awaiting this book. Driven With the Wind is the last of this awesome, and one of my all time favorite series. I had heard in advance that Lynn Morris would be the main writer, with Gilbert backing off to work on his other series. From the first chapter, his absence was painfully obvious. The glow...the heart of the characters were gone. The book was just that...a conclusion to the serious. All the loose ends were neatly tied, the proposal was right on cue and then it all comes to a close. I was left thinking..."that was it?" Something was missing...I think it was heart. The warmth between the characters that Gilbert was so adept at creating, was gone. There were also noticable inconsistencies in the characters. Cheney's helper Nia, who had a soft southern accent, suddenly didn't have it. And though Cheney and Shiloh are two well developed characters and acted pretty much they way they should, it made you feel as though you were just reading about what happened...not experiencing it along with them. No strong emotions were brought forth, I was just left with the sense that it was all...lacking. I gave this book four stars because it was the conclusion to an AWSOME series. The others are memorable and very very well done. I highly recommend this series, just prepare yourself for the rather dry end...
Rating: Summary: Long awaited sequel to Island of the Innocent Review: Giving readers a rest from the thrills of the action/adventure oriented Island of the Innocent, Gilbert and Lynn Morris take Driven With the Wind into more emotionally charged territory. Shiloh Irons-Winslow and Cheney Duvall battle with their differences as they try to find a way to make a more lasting relationship of their three-year-old friendship. Devlin Buchanan's past comes back to haunt him just as happiness with Victoria DeLancie seems within his grasp. And Bain Winslow, everyone's favorite villian, is back. But this time Bain escapes his former clichéd character and emerges in a strong supporting role. Set at a slower pace than previous books in the series, Driven With the Wind never the less holds the reader's attention while carefully solidifying and fine tuning the characters of the cast. Driven With the Wind delivers a satisfying finale to the first part of the Cheney Duvall series and lays a promising groundwork for the many books that we all hope will come.
Rating: Summary: Best out of the series! Review: How can I describe how much I enjoyed this book? I absolutely loved the ending, I was REALLY near to crying. I got so involved in this book that I found that I was praying for the characters, especially Shiloh. I'm soooooo glad that the authors are continuing the series! thank you, thank you, thank you! I can't write anything else, otherwise I'll give something away, and I hate it when people do that. All I can say is read the series! Excellent job Gilbert and Lynn Morris!
Rating: Summary: Best Book Ever Review: I am a long time reader of the Cheney Duvall books. I read this one six times in one weekend. It is the best yet. It has much more about Cheney and Shiloh's relashionship than the others, but still has it's fair share of thrilling adventure. I won't ruin it for you but I will say that I loved the first twenty pages, and the last 100 pages, but the middle of the book made me want to pull my hair out. You get so frustrated with Cheney and Shiloh, and Dev and Victoria. There is a lot more about Dev and Victoia and Dev's past in this book. I totally feel in love with this book and know you will to.
Rating: Summary: An excellent end and beginning for Cheney and Shiloh! Review: I believe that the characters were completely acting like themselves in Driven With The Wind. There was only one part, very small, in the first chapter that seemed out of character, but everything else followed their personalities perfectly. This book was more thoughtful and it displayed more of every character's personality than any previous one, but it still had that adventure aspect tucked in there in the shape of Bain Winslow and Dev's mysterious past. Also, you will not want to miss the arrival of Cheney's aunts, who offer their own fresh flavor to the book. Overall, you will not want to miss this book, even if you think it is not very good, because it is a necessary part to the series. And I can't wait for the new series, Cheney and Shiloh: The Inheritance, to begin.
Rating: Summary: A wonderful exciting book! Review: I thought it was a wonderful book. I had waited impatiently for Shiloh to finally give his life to God, and I sighed with relief as soon as I read that part. I would have been very sad at the end if I did not know they were writing new books. I always feel sad at the end of a series. I love all the charecters in the book, except Bain Winslow of course! It really kept me on the edge of my seat, so to say. I cannot wait to read the new series!
