Rating: Summary: Simply unrealistic Review: I was very disappointed in this book. The main character was out of her mind, you do not stay in an abusive relationship, Christian or not! I thought her reactions to Tanner's abuse were unrealistic. I would not want either of my girls to read this book for fear that they would think that the relationship between Stacy and Tanner was acceptable. I thought the plot line wrapped up a bit too neatly in the end, the writing was creative enough to keep my attention. Overall, poor story line and frustrating plot!
Rating: Summary: GREAT BOOK! Review: LORI WICK IS A GREAT AUTHOR. THIS IS THE FIRST BOOK I'VE READ THAT SHE WROTE. I RECOMMEND IT!!! IT SHOWS THAT GOD AND LOVE CAN CONQUER ALL!!! IT REALLY TAUGHT ME A LOT!!! I'VE READ THIS BOOK OVER AND OVER BECAUSE IT'S SO GOOD!!!
Rating: Summary: Mixed thoughts on this one... Review: Lori Wick is a great writer. Her writing style turns this sad story into something worthy of reading. Stacey is a country girl who is swept into marriage to a Duke. At first all is well, but the unforgiving Duke punishes Stacey for other's sins. The story is realistic in that things are not 'fixed' immediately. The story drags a bit in places, but all in all, it's worth reading to form your own opinion. As book 3 of the Kensington Chronicles, the stand alone story is not on the caliber of the first two. We'll see what happens in book 4...
Rating: Summary: Who Brought Forth this Book Review: Oh my word!!! I loved this book! Not only is Lori Wick an excellent writter, but a great teacher! She's taught me many things. In order to find out what they are... READ!
Rating: Summary: Who Brings Forth The Wind is the BEST book!! Review: The book was wonderful. I love Lori Wick. She is such a wonderful author.
Rating: Summary: Challenging Review: The Kensington Chronicles is my favorite Lori Wick series. I loved this book. It was heart wrenching to read as Stacy struggled through her marriage, and I cried when I imagined what it would be like to experience such pain and disappointment. But I also was reminded of how faithful God is to heal our hurts and give us the strength to endure as Stacy learned to depend on God and trust Him with her life. It was such an encouragement to read as Stacy matured in her walk with Christ and strived to be a Godly wife and mother. Her strength and trust in God challenged me to mature in my own walk with Christ and trust Him with every aspect of my life.
Rating: Summary: Great book! Review: This bok is so good... Lori Wick is an awesome writer and she has outdone herself again. If you haven't read this you should, it is a great Christian romance.
Rating: Summary: Awesome book! Review: This was another winner from Lori Wick. She has such a talent of making you feel what the characters are feeling. This was a definite showing of that talent.
Rating: Summary: A romance worthy of praise Review: Though I thought this book to be very well written and I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Stacy and Tanner, I did, however, believe that there were places in this book that tended to drag a little. I felt that the separation between Stacy and Tanner was too long and a bit hard to swallow. However, I did appreciate the way Mrs. Wick developed the characters and their personalities. It was completely understandable why each acted and thought as they did.
I recommend this book to anyone who is a diehard romantic.
Rating: Summary: Well Done Review: Who Brings Forth The Wind is a wonderful book and I enjoyed reading it as Lori Wick so vividly took me into Stacy's world. I felt so much joy and pain and sadness and happiness just as she did, but now that the book is over I am even overcome by ever more emotions. The story consists of a torn marriage that is brought back together midst the struggles of Stacy and Tanner. The love between them eventually grows more deeply and the end of the book is very much God-centered as she committed her life to Christ. I throughouly enjoyed reading this and recomend this book to anyone with a desire to see God move through tragic situations. Well done, Lori Wick!
