Summary: A Powerful Tool
Review: I read this book in three nights, and I have heard of people taking off work to finish it sooner. The writing and characters are captivating. I have found that this book is a powerful witnessing tool. I have let co-workers borrow this book only to have them buy their own so they can highlight paragraphs and mark pages. Everyone who I have shared this book with has been changed, including me. Reading this book brought me closer to God and the importance that we have right now, and sharing this book as been a wonderful opportunity to get people to ask me questions about me faith in God and how I know I won't be "Left Behind."

Summary: purely fiction
Review: The format of this book holds the attention. Dr. LaHaye and Mr. Jenkins have a winning teaching series, or it would be if there were any truth to it. It is pure fiction and as fiction it is an excellent book. I give it four stars for the quality of the characters and storyline only. The writers aim is to teach a particular end-time doctrine. However,as it stands the real heart of end-time prophecy is lost in this effort.

Summary: Not exactly spine tingling
Review: I heard so much about this novel, maybe my expectations were too high. In all fairness, I just didn't find the writing of very high caliber, nor the characters, nor the overall development of the story and plot. Anyone who wants to experience a truly harrowing, credible account of Judgment Day ought to read THE LAST DAY, which is the finest such portrayal of The Last Days anyone has yet come up with. If you want to feel what it's like to be in the real presence of Divinity, this frightening but uplifting novel truly delivers the emotional charge that LEFT BEHIND simply doesn't. Unless I hear that this series gets better as it goes, I'm stopping here.

Summary: A formula novel!
Review: The authors attempt to engage by use of a format that has proven to attract readers. There are far better books that deal with the same basic subject of survival after a global catastrophe. What distinguishes this one is the attempt to provide a religous message. Both the story and message are simplistic, and the theology involved is so banal as to be offensive. This is a formula book, and is neither creative nor well written.

Summary: What an anointed idea for fulfilling the Great Commission!
Review: Talk about Bible study aids, this series is a most unique tool. I was often inspired to go back and reread passages which I had previously just brushed by. "Therefore go and make disciples..." LaHaye and Jenkins have used the mechanism of a novel to deliver the greatest message ever told! Because the characters are modern-day, believable, and imperfect just as I am, I was immediately drawn to their struggles to rationalize why they were "left behind". I could, almost physically, suffer their confusion, their doubts, their anger, their loneliness, their stiffneck-ness. Equally could I rejoice with those who finally learned to "look to the hills" and who then shared their hope and assurance of another chance with passion and courage. I cheered as they "brought into the fold" first one, then another, then another. I have now finished all of the books. The way the authors have chosen to end each book is, I think, an another anointed idea. LEFT BEHIND has given me a mission! To date I have purchased this title 53 times I want E V E R Y O N E, especially my family and loved ones, to know that they need not be LEFT BEHIND! Tim and Jerry, you are a blessing! I anxiously await your the Spring, 2000 sequel!

Summary: Poorly written fiction based from fiction
Review: This book deals with the so-called "Second Coming of Christ", and what will happen. Well first off...I do not believe in God, Satan, heaven, hell, creationism, pre-destiny, or anything of the religious sort. You may call be biased based on my thoughts, but I believe that this is nothing more than an poorly written account based on a book (the bible), that is thousands of years old and that has been translated so many times, that people have refuse to fathom the thought of how many people have put their thoughts and influence into this work of early fiction. Now...I do not believe anything I read in this book, nor do I believe in the bible. I do have one piece of advice for everyone, and that is stop believing what society, your parents, your peers, or whoever you listen to tells you, and go out and seek new theories and become original. Remember that history is a lie agreed upon.

Summary: What an Impact
Review: I recommend that every christian that reads this book should share it with a lost person. This book opened my eyes to many things concerning the rapture of the christians and at the same time drew me much closer to God. I plan to get the Left Behind series for kids, for my son who was saved this summer in Bible School. This is the most wonderful and thrilling book I have read. At the end I wanted to join the Tribulation Force to fight the battle.

Summary: Don't Be Left Behind
Review: A thought provoking book that's a must for ALL Christians to read. The mention of scripture is meaningful and sent goosebumps down my spine. Don't plan on reading just this first one--you'll be hooked before the halfway point in this book.

Summary: Boldness
Review: Left Behind is pretty much run-of-the-mill for people who have studied the book of Revelation until you get to the last chapter. Then, it turned my life around. I realized there is absolutely no compromise between godliness and evil influences. This book will make you become bold in your walk with God and cause you to choose God's ways over evil every time particularly in situations you might have let slide by previously.

Summary: Great Book
Review: This is a Christian book, so, if you don't subsribe to the tenants of Christianity, don't complain. I firmly believe in my Savior Jesus Christ. Now, I must point out that this book series is not a prophesy. In the book of Revelations it says not to add anything to the book. So anyone who wants to read a real interpretation of Revelation, don't read this. For anyone who feels in need of a Spiritual awakening, buy this and accept Christ as your savior. One more thing, don't try to find out when the end will come, for Jesus said that man will not know whn the end will come, nor the Son, but only the Father.
