Summary: God's amazing faithfulness
Review: This book completely changed my outlook on dating. It gave me hope. I read this book after reading Eric and Leslie's other book When Dreams Come True which is the story of how God brought them together. This book, coupled with that one, tells an amazing story of how much God loves you and also lets you know that God has bigger, better, and more beautiful dreams for your life than you could ever come up with or imagine. If you give your life up to Him, He's not going to make your dreams come true...He's going to make His dreams for you come true, which is better than anything even Hollywood could dream up.

Summary: Crystal Clear
Review: My friend gave me this book after we talked about purity, and how I'm saving myself for my future husband, from my very first kiss. I am only 17. I have Joshua Harris' books, "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" and "Boy meets Girl". I thought those were excellent books, but after reading "When God Writes Your Love Story", I feel compelled to say that this is the best purity book I have read. I've also read Elisabeth Elliot's "Passion & Purity". Erik and Leslie write their chapters with such a "down-to-earth" feeling to them... as if you're sitting right next to them listening to them tell about their love story. I love how they wrote the book, and this is one I am definately going to have my future kids read, and one I myself will read over and over again.

Summary: Not great...
Review: This book has a good message, but the writing is soooo cheesy! It's in the Christian book style that seems to be factory-produced with a generic style and an overall sense of triteness. They have good things to say, but as a serious reader and Christian, it was tough for me to make it through the book. However, if you are a fan of contemporary Christian music (unlike me) your taste probably falls into this line and you would enjoy it more. Suffice it to say, if you like Anne Lammott you won't like this.

Summary: Love is still possible
Review: This is a response to the reader who was a former skeptic, I gave some scripture to look up. Remember? Thank you so much for letting me know that it helped you, I didn't know that it would. I just hoped that it would help. I really am very happy for you and I'm praying for you. Don't forget to start attending a good church! :-)

True love is hard to find but I do believe that it exists ever since reading this wonderful book. I've read many dating books and this is the best one that I've read so far. You don't really need anymore after having read this.

I'm glad that you let me know that I helped, thank you! That means a lot!

I'd like to make a couple of reccomendations in addition to this book, "The Purpose-Driven Life by Rick Warren."

"All It's Meant to Be by Bryan Clark" is also a very good book.

Don't forget to check out fathersloveletter.com website, its very good! Wish you all the best!

Summary: SUPERB
Review: I can't believe at how simple yet profound this book was. It doesn't just focus on having this perfect love relationship with a some guy, but it teaches us how to focus our love. The love we have starts with God's love and we can fall in love with our future spouses. God does have someone out there for us, but singleness is a time for us to prepare for that special person. God will provide in his perfect timing, as long as we trust in God, he will provide.

Summary: I USED TO THINK THIS BOOK WAS UNREALISTIC . . .
Review: But thanks to "A Reader", from the West Coast I was able to give life a chance . . . I accepted Jesus into my life as Lord, and finally learned to love myself.

I feel that my earlier opinion of this book was crowded by bitterness and self-hatred. No one wants to be alone, and after discovering the true un-failing mercy of a loving God. I can honestly say that the healing has begun.

Thank you "A Reader" from the West Coast for all of the scriptual references . . . It was the very thing that made me turn my life around. I believe that there is love out there for me -- However I feel that the GREATEST relationship and love is my developing relationship with Jesus.

Summary: Good, but not great
Review: Although this book makes an excellent point of letting God write your love story it was not quite what I was looking for. It would be very good for someone who may not be a solid Christian for it repetedly says of the importance of a true relationship with Christ first. It's a good book, just not great.

Summary: True love still exists
Review: I must disagree with [another reviewer], this isn't for perfect people. Both Leslie and Eric have made their share of regrettable mistakes in past relationships before meeting each other. They've both learned that God forgives and doesn't look back.

First of all God doesn't play any favorites, so don't think that you're not important to God because you are. Check out the book "The Purpose-Driven Life by Rick Warren." And fathersloveletter.com

When God Writes Your Love Story, talks about regrets that people have made like abortion, premerital sex, etc. There's still hope even for those of us that have messed up big time. It's not easy, but true love still exists and if you trust God, He can make things happen.

Anyone reading this whatever your situation in life, don't be discouraged, pick up this book, read it, and apply it. There is this section in the book of getting godly guidance from godly people. You can still get things right in life including your love life.

Summary: A BIT UNREALISTIC -- -- ONLY IF YOU ARE PERFECT
Review: This book is for the perfect -- God's chosen. If you are not all that you could be or if you don't have everything in order like these two -- people loving you, a perfect family, a perfect daddy to say "Yes, you can win my daughters's heart." It is not for the broken-hearted, discouraged, melancholy, depressed, lonely, rejected or suicidal soul that cries herself to sleep every night wondering if she will ever have a chance at love. It is only for the one's that God really(x 1 million) loves. I have had to face it that God does not love me like he loves the rest of his daughters. I've accepted it, but I still love him even though I am not perfect. I have had some real battles in my life, and it would have been all but wonderful to have a husband who loved me and cared about me to help me get through it. To put their strong arms around me and tell me that it would be okay. It is a extremely cold out their -- but this book can help but its only for the perfect.
