Review: Due to my insatiable reading appetite, I read over 50 books per year. I enjoy a bit of non-fiction, but for the most part I read fiction. This book reads as predicably as a typical genre historical romance novel. It is very light reading with very little depth to the characters or storyline and written with an elementary vocabulary. Over all, I found the book to be a disappointment.

Review: I absolutely LOVED this book! I couldn't put it down for two days, it was so captivating. I found myself really pulling for the main character, Anika O'Connor. The action grabs the reader right in the beginning and throughout the novel. However, an even bigger pull of the book is the lesson of faith that is learned by Anika and consequentially by the reader. If you're into action, adventure, and romance with an inspirational theme, definitely read The Silver Sword. Oh, and the two sequels, The Golden Cross and The Velvet Shadow, are equally fabulous!
