Review: This is the best book I have ever read. It is an all out attack out the evil system of dating in our society. Any teen who calls themselves a christian and does not agree with this book is either weak or lying.

Review: This book is amazing. I bought it for girls in a small group I was leading at church, and they loved it too. It is not about totally rejecting the whole dating idea, but about learning to look at dating with respect. I have learned so much from reading this book, from how to remain pure, to the basics of "Godly dating." If you feel that God is calling you to reevaluate your dating relationship, or your view of dating, read this book. If not, read this book. It's that good!

Summary: Great book that makes you think!
Review: This is an excellent book that shows how God can speak to you in many different ways. I had been questioning my own beliefs about dating and when I read the book, I was really moved. Joshua Harris has a wonderful way of saying things that I was thinking but didn't quite know how to express. This book made me really think about what I had been "taught" to value in relationships. I have since learned to appreciate the amazing gift of singleness that I have been blessed with up to this point. I believe that this book can speak to people in many different situations, but ultimately leaving an important message: live your life according to what God wants for you and He will help you with everything else. I applaud Joshua Harris for having the strength and determination to talk about an important subject from a refreshing, Biblically-based, perspective that will make every reader think about his/her own relationship with God and with others.

Review: I thought that the book brought up many points on dating in this time. I thought that many of the things in the book were good, but you have to choose for yourself what you believe. There was a lot of stuff that made me realize how unhappy I was in my previous relationships. The book in all made me think about what God wanted me to do and what i needed to do.

Review: This book is spectacular! This book will take your perspective on dating and show you how God wants you to live your life. Not just a guide for finding true "love," this book is a challenge to take your Christian life to the next level! People point to sex and call it love. God takes us to the foot of a cross where His naked, bloody Son hangs and says "This is Love."

Review: I wish I would have read this book two years ago.My husband and I allowed our 16 yrs old son start dating. He has dated the same person for almost two years. This relationship has caused an inmense amount of stress, discord and tears in our home. I come from a very strict discipline environment. My husband did not share the same kind of discipline with our kids. I was always against my son having a relationship at such a young age but my husband did not agree with me. This caused a lot of stress between our marriage. I started feeling serious problems in this relationship when they started talking about marriage at such a young age. The few times that I spoke with the mother of this young girl were dissapointing because I expressed my concerns and she would replied : they are wonderful kids and grounded in a Christlike relationship. My son's girlfriend is two years older, has finished highschool and the trade she wanted to have in life. My son is still a junior in high school, having problems in school, failing math and very confused. My fears became real when my son announced las Christmas, he and his girlfriend had sexual relations and did not know if she was pregnant! But we serve a merciful God who gives second chances and turned out she wasn't pregnant My husband after finding out this, he realized the great mistake he has done in going against me and allowing such a young impresionable young man to date. My husband asked for my forgiveness and forbid the relationship untill further notice. Unfortunately, my son has not honored our request and continues seeing this girl contradicting our wishes.

Summary: The Best Dating Book Our Youth Group Has Studied So Far!!
Review: Our youth group has already read Lady in Waiting , and I thought it was great! This book was even better. The girls in our youth group read and met every week to discuss it. We let some of the guys read it and they said they did and didn't like it. Then, all the girls got 3 ?'s they wanted to ask the guys about the book and what their take on dating is. It was a great experience for all of us. I have learned a lot of new things from this book!!

Review: Whoever knew that God could use one book to give a message of hope and patience for singles! This book not only reminded me that I should be waiting and expecting only God's best, but also to enjoy my single life as a gift. This book is not only for all that are looking for an answer to the dating search, but also a realistic view of those questioning if they have found "the one".

Summary: A great tool for singles ministry!
Review: This is a book written with the "gift" of singleness in mind. Often we step out of the "gift" God has put in us and thereby stepping out of line with His will and purpose for our lives. Joshua Harris provides us with a totally different, yet biblical sense about our singleness.

If you can be open and realistic enough, you will hear the message and know that this was inspired by God. I agree with kissing dating good-bye. My 16 year old daughter read it in 3 days and bought 3 additional copies to give to her friends. I believe what she did speaks for the book.

Summary: A Once-skeptic
Review: First time someone told me about it I was like...are you crazy? Part of dating is of the experience and harris is promoting complete abstinece. I thought it was crazy but I reluctantly read the book. And chapter by chapter it was like my arguments were refuted and it came down to: God has the perfect mate for you and we just need to trust him for him/her instead of getting ourselves caught in this complicated web of dating. I have never read a book that so powerfully changed my way of thinking about dating and he bases his arguments all from the Bible. Totally worth more than 5 stars, I don't care what anyone else says!!!!
