Summary: Romantic love story
Review: I loved this book because it gave me much more than I had expected. The story is lighthearted. The characters are full of faith in God. June and Parker express their feelings without a tint of lust. There are some adventurous and exciting scenes as well. Secondary characters are never omitted. They take their parts well in the story. I suggest that you read this one and you will start to love Christian romance.

Summary: Not quite as good as FAITH
Review: I was a little disappointed that JUNE wasn't as hilarious as FAITH. However, it still has the quality you will expect from Lori Copeland. It is a story of trusting God, even when things don't quite go as you planned. JUNE is a well-written love story that will be hard to put down till you've read it all.

Summary: Book two in Brides of West - Revised and Condensed
Review: June is the youngest of the three sisters who have accepted male order bride proposals. She arrives in Seattle to find her prospective groom, Eli, very ill. He is serving as associate pastor to the famous Rev. Ingram, tent evangelist and pastor.

Inman has one primary goal - to build a huge, ornate tabernacle. He has already convinced Eli that the building is God's plan. June quickly joins the group and the vision. However, tragedy prevents her immediate marriage as she had planned.

Parker Sentel is Eli's best friend and care giver during his illness. A burly, hard working logger, he loves God, but adamantly opposes the building of the tabernacle and everyone associated with it except Eli.

Sam is the young niece of the head of the local orphanage. Sam and June are best friends but seem to live in different worlds until they start working together, holding church services at the logging camps.

June spreads herself very thin to allow for several ministries, but life in Seattle has not turned out as she expected and June wonders whether she is in the right place after all.

I am anxious to read book 3 in this series, "Hope"..and thanks Lori Copeland for some lighthearted, Christian, fiction, historical love stories.

Summary: Christian romance
Review: June Kallanhan answers an ad to be a mail order bride. She travels to Seattle to meet her intended, Eli Messenger, a young minister working for the famous preacher Isaac Inman. When she arrives in Seattle, June finds that Eli is ill and he dies a few days later. June thought that her calling from God was to be a good wife to Eli, but with his death she is now at a lost as to the purpose of her long journey. However, during the last few days of Eli's short life, June hears him talk about the Reverend Inman's dream of building a magnificent tabernacle. A dream shared by Eli. June believes that this is her mission and she sets out to raise funds for the building of the tabernacle.

Parker Sentell is the handsome brooding friend of Eli. He is in charge of the local timber felling company. He does not agree with the Reverend Inman's wishes to build the ornate tabernacle and belives that the money would be best spent on helping the local orphanage run by a weak little old lady. Parker does all he can to help the orphanage. Time again June comes across the not so friendly Parker and sparks fly. Slowly June comes to realise that Parker is right and that the local orphanage could really do with some help.

This was a tender love story. Parker comes across a a gruff man but with a good heart. June also has a good heart and does her best to help everyone, having much faith in God. However, she is torn between the needs of the orphans and the promise she made to help build the tabernacle. It's a nice change to read a sweet innocent love story devoid of any lusty scenes. A very good read indeed.

Summary: A good way to spend an evening!
Review: Lori Copeland once again weaves a beautiful tapestry of old West history, steadfast faith in God, and old fashioned romance. A light-hearted story about disappointment, starting over, and happy endings. If you're looking for a warm way to spend a cozy evening reading, you've found it!
