Summary: If you read one book a decade, read this one.
Review: Authoritative. Powerful. Clarifying. Frightening.
I have twice ordered multiple copies of this book to distribute to my friends who need this information. YOU need this information. We have entered the age of terror, and this book tells who and why. You will be astounded. Those who disparage this book have something to hide.

Summary: A waste of trees
Review: As a Profersor of Comparative Religion I found this book to be a self serving tool and cheap propangada. The author knows the truth and is skillfully hiding it to dupe the reader and push an anti-Islamic agenda while pandering to the fear and ignorance of like minded extremitists in the Christian far right. There are many more helpful and accurate books without bias that should be read. Sadly, this book is a waste of trees.

Summary: YEAH RIGHT!!!!
Review: This book is a short version ... If what Author tried to say was all true, we would've heard more of muslims turning christians, or atleast leaving their faith. I think its Author's own thinking, apart from him i haven't heard of a single muslim leaving his faith, while compared to just him alone,... This book of "Mark Gabriel" contains more bias, blames and political propagandas...

Summary: Very Informative, Excellent!
Review: Finally someone who has the proven background and authority has the guts to write the truth about Islam. I have two questions for those who still defends Islam after reading this book: "Can you name one country, where the majority of the people are Muslim, where there is freedom of religion?" Second question: "If Islam is truly a religion of peace, then why aren't the Muslims in the world become openly outraged by this supposedly misrepresentation of them?" Silence is not a sign of disapproval! It is likely a quiet approval.

Summary: Islam and Terrorism
Review: This is a must read book. It clarifies all the confusion surrounding Islam and reveals the true agenda of Islamic jihad as commanded by the Quran to all Muslims. The aurthor is an expert in Islamic history who formerly taught at the world's leading Islamic University, Al-Azhar. This book not only provides clarity, understanding and the truth but also provides hope and an answer to which we all can respond.

Summary: The Truth Revealed
Review: This book does a great job of exposing the truth about Islam versus the face that has been put on it in the United States by politically correct, though misinformed, media personalities such as Oprah. We would like to think that mainstream Islam is about Peace, but in fact the basis of the religion is Jihad. Mr. Gabriel discusses how the religion has been "Christianized" in the United States in order to encourage conversions. Few people would initially convert to a religion that promotes murder and subjugates it's followers. He also, thankfully, exposes the atrocities that occur in the Middle East against Christians. My family are Christian Egyptians and I have known all of my life of the persecution that occurs there. The government in Egypt does a good job of covering up the atrocities and the U.S. media has much more interest in the persecution of virtually any religion other than Christianity. Mr. Gabriel goes in to some of the details, including collecting a tax from non-Muslims(otherwise known as stealing), the murder of Christians as they worship in Church as well as some of the more gruesome manners of killing such as murder accomplished through amputation. All of these acts are not only acceptable by Koranic law, but they are encouraged. In spite of this, Mr. Gabriel points out that we are not hate the individuals who practice this religion. In order to be able to help people break free from the bondage of the religion (I believe that they make no one suffer more than they do themselves) it is important that we understand the beliefs and the mind set. This was a very easy read. It will give the reader a very different perspective on the conflict that we find ourselves in today. It is a great book to share with friends be they Christian, Jew or Muslim.

Summary: The Truth About Islam
Review: This book is a must, must, must !! I study Islam myself and I am amazed of how our media paint a good picture about Islam, which is totaly a false Image, and it seems to me that they are scared of Islam. The truth is, Islam is exactly like this book claim it is. How the author was tortured by the Egyptian secret police is one example of how Islam functions...I have experienced what the author of the book explained. Buy more than one copy and let your friends read it too. That is how good this book is. I read it in one sitting.

Summary: Excellent explaination of Islam
Review: Although the author, a former Muslim, is now a born-again Christian he avoids the "preachy" tone found in so many Christian books. He was a professor in an Egyptian university where he taught the religion of Islam. He provides the reader with an even-handed look at Islam. He explains the contradiction between the "religion of peace" we keep hearing about and the call to jihad that motivates Islamic terrorists. His conclusion: Islam is not a "nice" religion.
Although the book is aimed at a Christian audience (the last chapter is a how-to manual on converting Muslims to Christianity) this book is a must read for anyone who wants a better understanding of the religion of Islam.
I highly recommend it.

Summary: No Relationship Between Islam and Terrorism
Review: First of all thanks to let me talk about my opinion. I'm sorry I don't like this book for several reasons. One of these reasons this book makes people don't like Islam. So Islam means peace. That what I want to say and Thank you again.

Summary: A true point of view
Review: This book was written by a former Muslim professor of Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt who taught Islamic history. This guy knows what he's talking about. Sure, there are other interpretations of Islam, but his is the only one that makes sense of why the Quran first says to love your non-Muslim brothers and then later says to convert the infidel (non-Muslims) or kill them. It also shows you just how insignificant woman are in the Islam religion. Lastly, it goes through Islamic history and the rise of terrorism and how it all connects to the Quran.

This is not a book of bigotry. This man sincerely wants to help Muslims find the right path, and not go on killing people. He believes the only way this will happen is if they turn away from Islam and convert to Christianity, because Christianity is a faith based on grace, hope and love. It's the complete opposite mindset of what Islam is. I agree.

If one does not find that Mr. Gabriel wants to help them become different and pure people by the end of this book, and stop terrorism, then the reader is the only one deceiving himself/herself. He's a kind and loving Christian man. It's just that he's telling it how it is with Islam, and some people aren't going to like it.

I recommend this book if all you've ever known about Islam is the Westernized point of view. This guy was a real Muslim, and an expert on the religion at that. He lived where Islam thrives and experienced it all first hand. So this book is worth the read.
