Rating: Summary: it's good... Review: this book is really, really great, but it's also really, really legalistic. you will definitely learn a lot about what is and isn't healthy with regard to Christian dating and your Christian walk. however, i think that the book can also be very intimidating. i remember feeling very unworthy and very incapable of being loved or having a healthy Christian relationship after reading it. i actually cried out of frustration both with myself and with what the author purports to believe that God expects from Christian relationships. some people may thoroughly enjoy this book because it really takes dating back to the old school (old school as in old testament!). actually, the author seems to be in favor of doing away with the practice of dating altogether and is in favor of courtship (again, in the old testament sense of the word). while i have serious issues with many aspects of this book, i do highly recommend it, especially for young adults like myself. it may help to also read "boundaries in dating" so as to get a balanced view of what some Christians believe that God wants from our "romantic" relationships. read both and decide for yourself which approach would best serve to enhance not only your "dating/courting" relationships, but also your relationship with Christ.
Rating: Summary: God's Blessing Review: This book is truly a blessing from God. For years I have been praying for God to send me a girlfriend and mate. But God kept telling me that I was not ready and even that I may never marry. This disturbed me greatly and I became depressed. God took me from my depression and I discovered this book at a Christian Book store. It changed my whole perspective on God's plan for my life and what he has in store. I realized that being single is a blessing and not a curse. I shall wait for whatever God has in store for me and pray for his continued blessings. This book is a study guide which always references the word of God and provides real life examples of how God's plan really works. Love and marriage our not ours to decide. It is a gift from God and "Choosing God's Best" is a uplifting guide which helps you through the journey.

Rating: Summary: Good, a little corny Review: This book was very inspiring at times. The first 70 percent of the book is corny. The tone of it is as if we were children. I would like a more frank discussion since most of us have been corrupted by frivolous sexual relationships and are now ready for a change. If you don't mind wading through the pollyanna material then it is well worth the time. I really was inspired by some of his Biblical analysis on dating (courting) and marriage. He has thought through this well. And his counsel is wise. If I were to re-write this book, the only change I would make is to spend the first few chapters assessing how we all have [messed] up our youth through sex and dating for superficial reasons. This would show that the author relates to the sinful portion of our dating lives. The timelines for dating are guidelines as he says, and are worthwhile. Again, the last two or three chapters are worth the read. It is a great effort and noble to tackle this huge issue for most of us. I am sure the author will put out future books refining his style. God bless

Rating: Summary: Wonderful Book To Read Review: This is a great book to read! I found it very inspiring and encouraging. It's a great book for people in their 20s even 30s to read. This book offers Godly priciples and helpful teachings about dating and courtship...as well as what to do during the stage of singlehood.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME BOOK!!! Review: This is one of the most down-to-earth books on the subject of Courtship out there. I ,too, have read Josh Harris, Elizabeth Elliot, and others who have written books on this topic and Dr. Raunikar comes from the same philosophical foundation. I found his book tremendously helpful and he offered some very practical advise I had not previously heard. Praise God for authors like Dr. Raunikar who are willing to renounce the world's system of dating, rather than try to just revise it. This is a MUST READ for any Christian single who is serious about their walk with the Lord. I'd give it 6 stars if it were allowed! :)
Rating: Summary: Possibly the best book on the subject of waiting. Review: This is possibly the best book I have read on the subject of waiting for God's best. Not only does the author provide a scriptural basis for his subject, he also presents true-to-life stories about waiting and the happiest of outcomes for each case. The understanding possessed by the author about the realities of waiting is also presented well in this book. It is not simply offering up advice but offers up the hope and happiness having waited for God's best. It proves the age old axiom, anything worth having is worth waiting for.
Rating: Summary: A confirmation Review: This is the type of book I have been looking for. It offers a clear analysis of Courtship that is authored by God. I have believed in this since I was in high school and this just goes to tell me that I have not lost my mind, like the world thinks, but I am right there on the right track. Thank you Dr. Raunikar. I highly recommed the book to every single person and every parent.
