Rating: Summary: Disappointed Review: Its a good book for Jr. to Sr. High range. He has a good message about the effects of how people feel being picked on, or even being the bully feeling the pull of peer pressure. However, after Piercing the Darkness and This Present Darkness, which are both excellent, can't put it down books, I was left wanting more. The ending was a big disappointment for me.
Rating: Summary: Hangman's Curse Review: The Springfield family, Nate, Sarah, and their twin teens, are members of a top-secret presidential investigative team called the Veritas Project. As members of this group, the family must be prepared to go undercover at any moment. They have done a number of undercover operations, stings, and drug bust, but ever have they encountered what they did at Baker High School. The day that Mr. Morgan informed them that something strange was happening at Baker High School in Baker, Washington, they were in the middle of a sting operation. The Springfield's were told to come to Baker, Washington when they were finished. When they arrived, they were met by Tom Gessner, the school counselor. Mr. Gessner informed them that a few of the students at the school were mysteriously getting sick. They would be fine one minute and then the next they would be ranting incoherently. their symptoms went from being incoherent to being paranoid, and eventually comatose. The Springfield's all took undercover jobs at the school. Nate took the position of a janitor, Sarah a library assistant, Elijah and Elisha as students. Elijah and Elisha were immediately accepted into different cliques. In these cliques, they gained information about different students who could possibly have caused the mystery disease. The Springfield's followed many leads, with the help from their dog, Mr. Maxwell. One lead that Mr. Maxwell had to follow out, was a scent that was found on each on the victims. After many days of hard work, the Springfield's found the mysterious disease, the culprit, and an antidote.

Rating: Summary: Read it in one sitting! Review: I am a voracious reader, and from the first page, this thriller kept me turning pages until the end! This is my first Frank Peretti book. I can tell you that I will seek out this author for future reads. I would love to go into detail about the plot, and the surprises in store, but you just have to read it for your self!! A priceless and unexpected surprise offering!! Read it!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Plot! Review: I usually don't read that much, but Peretti's book looked interesting. After reading a few pages I was completely into it! This is a wonderful book with a gripping plot and a humorus sideline. I am definitely looking forward to the next edition of this series.
Rating: Summary: Veritas Project: Hangman's Curse Review: I am a Youth Services Librarian. I have always enjoyed Peretti's work. This title is no exception. It is a very good story for middle and high school. The Vertias Group, Mom, Dad, and twins, Elisha and Elijah are undercover looking for the truth of strange happenings. Their job, should they decide to accept, is to discover the real truth. Well written, speaks well about school campus life and gets the reader involved int the plot. Football jocks are attacked by a strange disease and before the reason is found two girls have died. What and who are responsible? You will enjoy the suspense and truth from start of finish. Looking for excellent reading with high interest? This book will fill that need.
Rating: Summary: Peretti stays true to form! Review: Excellent book! As usual Peretti has delivered a thriller that you can't put down. Abel Frye is not who you think he is! (The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I have read some of his adult novels which are (naturally) better.)
Rating: Summary: This was great! Review: I loved this book. i am a fast reader, so i was sad that i finished it so fast. The plot was amazing, and there were so many twists and turns in the story thet it kept me on the edge. The story ended in a totally different way then I had expected! This was also an interesting story because it showed what was really happening in schools. Bullying can lead to bad things. Good job Frank Perreti!
Rating: Summary: One of Peretti's best! Review: This book was absolutely spellbinding. (the only reason they mark it for 9-12 year olds is cause there's nothing bad or gory in them really...) Peretti has wonderful insight into today's high school environment. (obviously drawing upon his own experiences at least some.) A wonderful read!
Rating: Summary: too good to put down!!! Review: WHAT A GREAT BOOK! COULDNT PUT IT DOWN! HAD A GREAT STORYLINE..WITH ALOT OF SURPRISES. ITS GREAT TO KNOW THAT THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF SERIES AND I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT STORY. EASY TO READ, EASY TO UNDERSTAND WITH A GREAT PLOT. THE REALITY OF LIFE IN SCHOOL WAS ON TARGET. WAY TO GO MR.PERETTI!
