Rating: Summary: What I like most about Youngs Analytical.... Review: Young's Analytical Concordance for the KJV (which is quite practical for the NKJV) has one particular benefit over other Concordances. While entries are made in English, they are further organized according to the words (with definitions) that they are translated from. By examining other verses that use the same word, it is possible to get a still better understanding of each word. If people would study the Bible in such a manner, I believe that there would be a lot fewer Christian denominations in the world. For the purpose of understanding the Bible, the Bible itself, by the fortification of the Holy Spirit, is our best interpretor. It is non-negotialble that verse be compared to verse, "precept upon precept, line upon line," (Isa 28:10). Youngs makes this kind of deeply rewarding study possible for those without knowledge of the ancient languages. Youngs is indeed nothing less than a treasure map to the most glorious fortune of Truth that this world has ever seen.
Rating: Summary: Makes Strong's Look Weak Review: Young's Analytical Concordance is one of the most thorough, documentive theological works I have ever seen. Although a knowledge of Strong's Concordance is a must for any student of the Bible, this concordance makes Strong's look weak in many instances. I reccomend any serious student of the Bible have a copy of this masterful work.
Rating: Summary: Slightly better for word studies than Strong's Review: Young's concordance has been a favorite among Bible students for many years.Although Strong's is more popular and has its strengths, Young's is better for word studies due in part to the way it "analyzes" English words. For instance, most students know that several Greek or Hebrew words can be translated by one English word. Young shows this by analyzing the English word showing all of the Greek or Hebrew words it translates and then lists the verses containing each occurrence of the various Greek or Hebrew words. This makes for more accurate word studies. Highly recommended. One caveat: this is the original version and not the corrected and updated version.
