Isaiah 1-39 : A New Translation with Introduction and Commentary

Summary: Good but not memorable
Review: There are very many commentaries on Isaiah, ranging from the useless to the excellent. This commentary is probably above average. It has the advantage of being bang up to date, but nothing much else to distinguish it from the pack. It treats the first 39 chapters (the so-called First Isaiah) as a reasonably united work, not trying to tear it into pieces and assign it to several different authors as some commentators have done, but not ruling out subsequent revisions and editorial adjustment.
