Summary: I Won't be Left Behind...
Review: Left Behind has changed my life. As a Christian I have gone through many tests of faith, and since I have begun to read this series it has become stronger than ever. I thought the books would be about man going to live on Mars after a natural disaster, or something to that affect. Needless to say I was surprised, pleasantly, when I realized it was a Christian fiction novel. I couldn't put the first down. I took it everywhere with me. I had numerous people comment on how they had read it, and how I would love it, and I did. You don't have to be a Christian to enjoy these books...They don't preach, but they do get their message across while entertainging. I encourage everyone to read these wonderful books.

Summary: Intriguing
Review: This set of books will keep you hanging on to the seems of your pants, constantly wanting to know what is going to happen next. Before I read this set of books I had hardly any interest in what anything in the Bible referred to. Now after reading the seven books that have been published it facinates me to know what the next book has instore for us the readers. These books are filled with action and tests to see who you think certain people really are, and what they are really up to. I highly recommend reading these books.

Summary: The Series
Review: This series will change how you look at the people all around you...but more important, how you look at yourself. It is about time someone wrote a book of fiction that didn't make Christians look weak or unintresting...even if you don't agree with the plot of the book it is a very "good read"...who knows it may prompt you to read the BOOK the events are taken from!!!

Summary: A must read for ALL - not just Christians.
Review: These books bring prophecy to life! For those who are educated in Biblical scripture, the amount of research and insightfulness put into these novels is amazing. For those who know little or nothing about prophesy, your eyes will be opened (or at least you will become inquisitive) about things which are to come.

I have circulated these books to many friends and acquaintances and we are all hungry for more! They have prompted us to turn to the Bible to study the scriptures. What a wonderful tool for motivation and learning these books have been!

I, myself, am not what I would call a reader. (The last book I read was John Grisham's "The Firm"). With these books, however, I found myself unable to put them down. I am anxiously awaiting Left Behind #8's release and am certain it will be the best yet!

Summary: Life Changing Series
Review: I have read the complete series that is out so far. It has really made me step back and look at my relationship with GOD. This book will make the believer rejoice, and the unbeliever believe. Everyone should read this series. The story is wonderful and easy to follow.

Summary: READ AND THINK
Review: These books will make you think. They are easy to read, though not an insult by being too easy. The Left Behind Series provide just enough for a reader to escape and enjoy, or for a reader to get a Bible out and research to see if LaHaye and Jenkins are right. They are great.

Summary: Disillusioned
Review: That's me! Even though I knew the writing itself wasn't the best,I really liked the first book in this series. It held my interest, and I recommended it to a lot of family and friends. Since then, I've kept reading all the way to book #7. But I'm at the point where I just can't deny that everything about the series has gone steadily downhill. So many of my friends and fellow-Christians have noticed the same things that have bothered me: the long, unnecessary drawing out of the story by wide page margins and extra-large type, rehashing and repeating stuff, the disappointingly thin character development, and people just rushing around without much of anything really happening. I guess the most disillusioning thing of all is that it's become more and more obvious that Greed has reared its ugly head to the point that the authors have now announced that the story will continue through a total of TWELVE books. Besides that, they've whipped out a bunch of "LEFT BEHIND, THE KIDS" books. Since Jenkins has recently said there'll be two more books per year released for the next three years, I guess that means no Rapture is expected before 2004, huh?

Summary: Interesting reasoning
Review: My rating may be misleading. I'm almost finished with the first book and I love it, even though I NEVER would have guessed I'd be a fan of Christian literature, considering I only go to church once a year and when I do go, I simply go through the motions. The ideas expressed in these books have really made me reevaluate my life and I don't think any other book has had such a powerful impact on me, not to mention be as thrilling and interesting as these are. Although I have to admit, the writing can be kind of poor at times.

My 1 star rating is actually for the boxed set. I wanted to come on here and order the rest of the books so I could have them when I finished the first. Let's see...I can order the first 6 hardcover books in this "special" gift set..., or I can order all 7 of the books individually from Amazon.com for[a lot less]. Doesn't take an idiot to figure this one out.

Summary: Worst writing I've ever encountered!
Review: I am absolutely amazed that such juvenile, weak writing could hold anyone's interest. I kept seeing these books on the best-seller lists and decided to see what all the fuss was about. Apparently there are a great many people who will support even the poorest excuse for a book as long as it espouses their particular doctrinal point of view. Those who think this series is going to be convincing to non-believers are fooling themselves! I have a strong belief in God and a deep Christian faith, but these overblown, poorly-written books just seem to me like blatant opportunism in the name of religion. How anyone coulod consider them well written...or even interesting...is beyond me.
