Summary: The BIBLE for the abused
Review: The book I read when I decided to break the silence of Childhood sexual abuse within the Plymouth brethren church, as I read it there were times I didn't want to believe what I was reading, but as i started to tell my story of abuse the boof became so real as to my own experiences. The book I read again tghis time it had a new meaning to me, after I tried unsuccessflly in tring to have the Church eldres speak with my self I found strength and support that no other person/s would give but the book "THE WOUNDED HEART" gave me, the book some what became my support, my mentor when all other help had failed I relied on the book.

I was succesfull in having my abuser [church elder] jailed for 7 years, I read the book again this time I felt that with the help of the book I had won, together we had conquered the church and the legal system and won. The book has been a wonderful help both to the abused and to the person/s that what to know more as to how to assit those who have been abused, I have given so many of the "THE WOUNDED HEART" to person/s like myself. the Best I have read, and I have read many.[would love to hear from other that have read the book]

Summary: I liked it better than the book, itself!
Review: This workbook had lots of practical exercises. It helps the reader work out the issues in the book. The workbook cannot be used without the book (although the book can be used without the workbook). It is particularly well-suited for use in groups.

Summary: In agreement with Reviewer
Review: Very disappointing. I was expecting a Godly analysis of abuse and a Godly approach to healing. This book provides neither. He applies the same old secular analysis with some sprinkling of "godly" words (small case intended). If you are looking for a Godly book concerning emotional abuse I recommend "Finding Peace for Your Heart" by Stormie Omartian.
