Her writing is vunerable, deep, and funny. I especially liked her musings about savoring our sexuality (a topic often overlooked or avoided by the Church) and embracing our beauty. Each chapter also includes fun coffee trivia. (Side note: I led a Bible study on this book at my church, and it was a big hit with the younger women. We all loved her video presentations that were included with the study guide and students' books. They made us think, laugh, and cry, within the space of five minutes! Her "mom" segment is priceles--I can't believe she doesn't have kids of her own!) Be sure and have a journal and highlighter nearby when you read Fresh-Brewed Life, because you'll want to remember a lot of what this author says. The book is comforting and stimulating at the same time--just like a good cup of joe. :)

Nicole has created just that in this piece. Not only did we find points to discuss and research it did an excellent job of leaving us something to think about. Regardless of your feelings on coffee this book will challenge you in a way that few books can. I highly recommend it!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Real Review: I am reading this book a second time, this time with a group. It never fails to wake me up, help to look deeper at things I do and why I do them.
It saddens me to see the author attacked here as a hypocrite, b/c if we get honest how many of is aren't hypocrites? Can we all say we take our own advice 100% of the time? Ye who are without sin, throw the first stone. Go and sin no more.
The author steps out of her comfort zone and gets gut-wrenchingly honest in this book. No, she isn't perfect. I don't recall her claiming to be. Read this book if you are a real woman with real sin and real redemption. You'll find it's real good.

I was very moved by her talk. I related well to the facts of her life - and the answers she provided. At the time, it was a turning point in my life. I think FBL is a terrific introductory look at how to bring your into balance. For someone just starting to feel like 'there is something more', this is a terrific book.

Review: I bought this book so I could read it before seeing Nicole Johnson at the Women of Faith conference. What an incredible blessing it has been to me. I could not put it down and intend on going back through it again, doing the practical ideas she suggests throughout the book. There is so much information and inspiration and encouragement in this book. I recommend it to every woman. It is definitely something that you will keep forever. She is also great to see in person, and her personality comes through in her writing. I made special time each day to have time for myself to read this book. It is fabulous! I wish I could buy a ton and hand them out to women everywhere.

She is reaching me in my parched dry areas and leading me to the living water in Jesus Christ. As a busy mom of a 3yr old I needed this book to jump start my spiritual life. My pastor graciously consented to have our womens pastor give us this book! Thank you pastor! If your soul and spirit need reviving or refreshing sit down and get a cup of fresh brewed life!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Fresh Brewed Review: I knew the moment I began reading the introduction that this was the kind of book I could gulp down in just one sitting. Nicole Johnson is friendly, clear, humorous...the kind of woman other women want to have as their best friend. Holidays and busy-ness forced me to read each chapter bit by bit, which became a special treat I savored. Peppered throughout the book are recipes, movie recommmendations, and journaling ideas. All advice was based on life experience, and came through as authentic and worthwhile. I only wish I wasn't finished!
