Review: I had heard so much about Max Lucado and his books. I finally bought one and now I see what everyone is talking about. A really easy flowing book, Just Like Jesus inspires us all to be just like Jesus. I liked it so much I have ordered two more to give as Christmas gifts.

Review: This book is incredibly relevant to anyone wanting to understand what it means to follow Christ whole heartedly. In his well-written, understandable way, Lucado presents vital truths in the context of a relationship with Christ. Study questions at the end of the book reinforce the power of the study. Not for the faint of heart!

Review: I read this book with many tears in my eyes. The reality that we are so loved by God and yet He doesn't want us to just to say the way that we are, He wants us to be like Him.

Review: If you are looking for a book to read then you had better read "Just like Jesus"! Since I have read it , I have changed some things in my life . Max touches the heart of the reader and shows passages in the Bible that leads to a path we as Christians should take . The book is well written and as you read this wonderful book you will become more alert with your standings in life . The only way Max could write this book is with the pen in our Lord's hand . Read this one book and I promise it will touch your hearts forever . The small stories are things we have all taken for granted at one time or another . This book will make you see that the smallest of things are the greatest gifts from God . Buy the book and have your Bible by your side to learn the lessons in life . A wonderful book indeed for anyone seeking a closer walk with Jesus ...

Summary: Insightful approach to living an authentic Christian life
Review: This is a very helpful book for newer Christians to read. In a very applicable way, it shows the reader how to become more like Jesus Christ. A Christian is someone who emulates Jesus and this books guides you in how to do that in your everyday life. It would be a good resource for discussing in a small group as well since there are several questions listed for each chapter. I highly recommend it.

Summary: Just Like Jesus
Review: In yet another wonderfully inspirational book, Lucado urges his readers to live a life that Jesus would be proud of. He doesn't tell the reader what he needs to do however, just reminds us of the way that Jesus lived and that we should look at him as an example of how to live. Enhancing this message is a very useful study guide perfect for small group study or even individual contemplation.

Lucado's illustrations using his own family and experiences really help to fit his words and the words of the Bible into our own lives and remind us that "He loves you just the way you are, but he refuses to leave you that way. He wants you to be just like Jesus."

Why 5 stars?:
Lucado has turned out another powerful book concerning how we can become like Jesus. The study guide make the reading of the book even stronger by challenging the reader to look deeper into his own life. Recommended for those strong in their faith, but still wanting to improve their walk with God, all the way to those who are just curious about who Jesus is.

Review: A great book! I was told that Max Lucado writes great, easy to read books...and it's true. I flew through this book in a couple of days. Very entertaining and eye-opening. May we all strive to be "Just Like Jesus!"

Summary: Good but not Lucado's best
Review: Just Like Jesus can be inspirational at times, mundane at others. I think this is a book that would have a better message with fewer pages. It seems the author sometimes begins to ramble in his stories looking for space filling material instead of staying focused simply on the message. However, the next to last chapter does stay on target and is some of the best, most inspirational reading I've had in some time.

Just Like Jesus takes you from the here and now to a view of eternity. Can you be like Jesus? Well, no one can be perfect but Jesus demonstrated so many qualities and traits that anyone should be willing to emulate to be like Jesus. Afterall, Jesus now lives in heaven and isn't that where we want to be? We want to be just like Jesus...living with God and in a wonderful place. To do that, we must also try to emulate what Jesus was while He was on earth. Through this book, Lucado shows us some of the qualities we can attain to...if we desire.

While this may not be the best book I've read, it's certainly worth reading if you are on a spiritual quest to follow Christ.

Review: I was disappointed. I had heard good reviews from local christians, but the book was much more simplistic and less enlightening than I had expected. The ideas are simple, but he repeats them often enough to have the ideas sink in. For some, this may seem like manna. I was looking for more substance.
