Review: Our women's college bible study used Mr. Lucado's book as a focus last spring semester - I enjoyed the way he fused humor, anecdotes and Bible passages...his writing truly made God's Word come alive!! :)

Review: I didn't expect this book to have such an effect on my life. Max Lucado has a gift of presenting spiritual truth in a very real and personal way. This book has challenged me to not only know Jesus, but to ask Him to change my heart. After I finsihed the book, I felt completely filled with God's love for me. It challenged me to make some changes in my life. A must read!!

Review: I am currently STILL reading this book....and I am just getting BLESSED over and over.... If you do NOT know about this book GET IT< HIGHLY recommended, unlike anything you will ever read, this man has his finger on the PULSE of GOD. I mean he says things that just HIT you and STIR your heart like nothing else other than scriptures.... I have to say, I have NEVER read ANYTHING else like this that has meant AS MUCH TO ME! Summary: Patronizing Tone That Never Delivers on Facts about Jesus
Review: For any thinking individual this book lacks deep substance and mimics common patronizing Christian dogma. The title and author's note leads one to believe that the book deeply accounts Christ's life and what He stood for...however does not deliver in any meaningful way. I was very frustrated hearing the story about the leper which Lucado made up...it was redundant and did not illuminate any deeper understanding of Christ; it was a waste of time and money.

Summary: A refreshing perspective to become JUST LIKE JESUS
Review: Max has provided a refreshing perspective of how we can become more like Jesus. I like his approach i.e. by giving a scenario which we can relate to first then he goes about telling us the character of Jesus in relation to that scenario. But he does not leave us there, he goes on to what we need to do to be more LIKE JESUS. Thumbs up ! - very easy to understand and very clear as what we need to do to be JUST LIKE JESUS.

Review: Max Lucado has once again presented the world a means of help in understanding how to improve your Christianity. This book is like a step-by-step guidline on how to better open yourself to the world and walk as Jesus walks. My Sunday School department is presently using this text as a study guide with the Bible, and we enjoy it thoroughly. I HIGHLY recommend this to any church or person who wants an insight on better living your life for Christ and the Father in Heaven!

Review: God personally worked in my life through the inspiring thoughts in this book, which I only bought because my wife asked me to. I expect my renewed intimacy with God to improve my marriage, my psychological well-being, and my ministry to others! Please do yourself a favor and read this book!

Summary: It's changed my life and my way of thinking!
Review: I read this book a little over a month ago and even today I was thinking about what it said. This book has challenged what I think and how I live my daily life. There are stories of people who challenged themselves each and everyday to live as Jesus did. And they did it! Real stories, not just a fictional book. Max makes you think about your life and how you are living. There is a part in the book where he tells you to march you thoughts to God and to let him judge them. I am constantly finding myself do this. Never before had I read a book and remembered it a month after reading it, until I read "The Great House Of God" (Also by Max) I remember parts of that book a year after reading it. Max Lucado is a very talented writer and I'm excited that he is on the right side! May God bless him for his obedience.
