Review: Pastor Cymbala is a mighty warrior for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and has illustrated this fact by accomplishing this tremendous work.Pastor Cymbala uses Scripture to make reference to the world's contemporary concerns, and how through faith we can achieve victory. A must read for every Christian, especially those newly saved souls.

Review: This is a very inspirational book about spreading God's love to the people around us. This book points to prayer and more prayer because God's help is needed to help reach the community of unsaved and lost people. This book is written about a movement in Brooklyn but can be applied anywhere. I have added this book to my master reading list.

Review: I thank God Almighty for Pastor Cymbala's work at the Brooklyn Tabernacle, and for sharing his experiences in this thought provoking book. This book really put faith, prayer, church, and Christianity as a body of believers into perspective. This is a book I will cherish, read often, and share with others. I cannot wait to read Fresh Faith!! Thank you, Pastor Cymbala!!

Review: This book gripped my heart from the beginning. Pastor Cymbala's account of God's true power, drawn down through the humble and sincere prayers of His people, is absolutely amazing. This is a MUST read for today's Christians, especially for church leaders. Never before has a book outside THE BOOK so thoroughly knocked me to my knees in prayer.

Summary: Captured, Convicted and Challenged!
Review: Many religious books tend to be lengthy and dull. Not so with "Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire." Written under 200 hundred pages, the material will capture one's mind, convict one's heart, and challenge one to move beyond the dullness of religious experience. The experiences of the Brooklyn Tabernacle church remind me of the experiences the Jewish people experienced when Hezekiah "re-opened the doors of the Temple" as recorded in II Chronicles 29. Through repentance and prayer the people of the Brooklyn Tabernacle have experienced and continue to experience God's breath of spiritual awakening. The book is a letter of hope to all churches that are trapped in dullness, tradition and complacency. It is a book of hope because it is soundly based upon the spiritual principle and promise that God initiates and maintains revival when God's people pray.

Summary: Awesome challenge
Review: I have now read this book for the third time, as well as attended Brooklyn Tabernacle on 3 separate occasions. It is an awesome church, and it shows what GOD, not man, can do. The book is, quite simply, life changing, showing how God took an inner city dying church and transformed it into one of the biggest churches in America. Everything done at the church is based on prayer, and the Tuesday night prayer meetings have lines forming around the block to get in. Jim Cymbala talks in the book about the lives that are changed, but there is nothing there that glorifies Jim Cymbala or anyone else at all. It shows how all of our Hollywood style programs in churches are simply a sham. After you read it, you will want to get copies for everyone in your congregation!

Review: This book was a quick read, but it really hit me hard. It is uplifting and a testimony to show of God's awesome, almighty POWER. A must read for passionate Christians, and Christians who earnestly want to grow in Christ!

Summary: A life changing book...
Review: This book has truly been "Fresh Wind and Fire" in my life and in the life of my church. His mature perspective and observations confront the failure many Christians have experienced in silence; the release of the power of the Holy Spirit through prayer is the key to victorious Christian living. What makes Pastor's experience so powerful is that anyone who is born again can experience the same power through prayer. I would also like to recommend A.W. Tozer's "Pursuit of God"

Summary: a path to spiritual revival
Review: This easy-read captivating book has propelled its readers into spiritual revival and growth in personal faith and prayer! Cymbala has such a tangible and inspiring faith. He teaches thru stories of others how to pray WITH FAITH that God is listening! Should probably be on the shelves of all Christians next to their Bible and the Left Behind series. I've bought it for everyone I care about.

Review: This is the type of book that encourages and renews your faith in how God moves through prayer. I often times neglect prayer and forget that "ask and you shall receive." Cymballa is honest, humble and challanges you to abandon your traditons and get to know the God of the Bible.
